For decades our tradition was to cut our Christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. 🦃 We'd grab a meal with the Olvers at the TripleX in Issaquah, then venture to the tree farm in search of the ultimate Noble Fir. 🌲 . . The tradition started to wane as our kids grew up. Then in 2014 we founded our little store, Alki Surf Shop. 🏄 Suddenly we no longer had time for tree wrangling! . . Luckily a "tree lot" started popping up on Alki each year. It let us support a West Seattle business neighbor and it was amazingly convenient! I don't know how many of you have cut your own Christmas tree, but it can be a hassle AND time consuming! 🎄 . . Thanksgiving makes me appreciate many blessings in my life, including the customers who have made the store a success. And we are also grateful to our Alki neighbors who made us feel welcome.
