Cas, are you there? Sammy's hurt. He's hurt, uh – he's hurt pretty bad. And, um... I know you think that I'm pissed at you, okay? But I don't care that the angels fell. So whatever you did or didn't do, it doesn't matter, okay? We'll work it out. Please, man, I need you here.
For some reason, I came across a post about this scene from episode 9x01. Apparently it's a great 'Destiel' moment. Seriously guys?
No, Dean doesn't need 'his little wife' to hold his hand as you say! And even less does he use his dying brother as a mere 'pretext' to see 'the love of his life again'.
He's a fucking big brother desperate to see his little brother die and can't do anything to help him! Absolutely no subtext in there!
And he wants Cas to come, not to see him or because he misses him, just because he's their friend, that he's an angel and that possibly he can save Sam, no more and no less!!
Proof of this is that a few seconds later he calls on all the angels to help him save his brother (clearly he doesn't care if it's Cas or anyone else, his only goal is to save Sam)
Screw it. Okay, listen up. This one goes out to any angel with their ears on. This is Dean Winchester... And I need your help.
Please stop hijacking scenes and looking for subtexts where there are none!
