later when Tim comes out, someone goes " of course he's gay, have you seen the men he's around? Brucie wouldn't know masculinity if it punched him in the face," implying that somehow, Bruce not displaying traditional masculinity and turned Tim bi. "Maybe i should punch you in the face, would that make you less of an ass?"

as more of the bats move out of Gotham one guy goes " Jesus, he must be in sufferable if not even his kids want to stay around him" this trigger something specific in Jason, he knows if he hadn't dies, he would likely have wanted to stay with Bruce forever "forgive them if they want a little independence, unlike you who it would seem is still living with mommy and daddy. seriously have you got no brain. you can't fathom a single reason adult children would want to move out of their parents' house?"

and when someone says something about all of his very different kinds of kids being adopted for good PR "there's no way he just adopted them for no reason, you notice how he got his first one after people started saying he's a whore?" anyways some of the goons catch on and start thinking he has a crush on Bruce Wayne. obviously that icks him out so he starts insulting him, and his hench people start to reprimand him saying that he's a grown man and should be able to express his emotions properly and that insulting someone isn't how you get them to like you. Jason starts to avoid the topic of Bruce Wayne entirely after that since his initial Reponses only perpetuated the idea. they think he got rejected and is bitter about it and start telling him that it happens and that he just needs to move on.

he goes so far as to invite arsenal to Gotham just to flirt with him, so they know he's not interested in Bruce Wayne (ew), then, one of them decides to ask, "isn't he a too little young for you?" (they assume he's like 40) he says "no but thanks for the concern" and " you overestimate how old i am"
