This graphic novel series by Riichiro Inagaki takes place several millennia in the future. The world is reset in the Stone Age after a petrification beam turns everyone to stone. We are introduced to Taiju, who wakes from his stone slumber. He then meets up with his best friend from the past, Senku, who is a brilliant young man of science. Together, they plan to restart civilization with all Senku's brain and Taiju's braun.
It's a fun and exciting read to see civilization recreated from the ground up. All of Senku's inventions and recreations are amazing and educational. All the characters are interesting and you learn that rebuilding the world using science is trial and error. It takes all kinds of people incorporating different talents to bring everyone back. This is a great series for those who like post-apocalyptic fiction, manga, and STEM. Bonus: Some of the science experiments can be recreated at home.
