favorite thing about them: she is just extremely cool in so many ways. Like Vraska I deeply admire the way her heroism is so closely tied to her black alignment. Also, her combat style is amazing and her ghostform is just super cool aesthetically and mechanically.

least favorite thing about them: The way she seems pretty bent on sending all ghosts to the afterlife no matter what... I keep thinking of ghosts who are full people who don't necessarily want to go back, and whether she'd force it anyway. Haven't seen her interact much with those yet.

favorite line: Short and simple. "I'm my own fool." Said to Bolas's face in War of the Spark when he tried to coerce and manipulate her. It exemplifies her black-aligned courage and goodness.

brOTP: Vraska and Ral. Their little group is just excellent. Particularly Vraska, as the two have a lot of common ground.

OTP: honestly unsure! I know she had a partner but she still gives me ace/aro vibes.

nOTP: Uhh, someone like Elspeth. She hasn't interacted directly and been at risk of being shipped with anyone I find particularly rancid yet.

random headcanon: she's asexual, and also on the aromantic spectrum. her partnered relationships are queer-platonic.

unpopular opinion: I don't want her to interact with (people like) Elspeth and become more like them...

song i associate with them: Masks by Aviators, it's not 100% accurate but the chorus makes me think of her especially: "Trapped in our own disguises / Cut free but soulless still / Our dreams are haunted by the / Ghosts we kill"

11. In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?

Fear is not a common sensation for Voren. Being a treefolk does not leave one on many food chains. But when the Eldrazi devoured his world; when Kozilek warped his mind and he knew what destruction was coming - that he would define as sheer terror.

27. Where does your character live?

In faculty housing on Strixhaven's Witherbloom campus! Both of Amaranth's moms are Strixhaven professors (planeswalker elf mom - teaches in Silverquill and Witherbloom, planebound vampire mom - teaches in Witherbloom), so she's lived on campus all her life.

54. What is your character’s ideal weather and temperature range?

Funny since Navika spends most of her time cloistered in a lab or underwater, but I think Innistrad warmed her up to slightly cool, misty, overcast days. A distinctly Nephalian type of weather.

96. What do they think of each of the five iconic creature types? (Angels, Sphinxes, Demons, Dragons and Hydras)

Angels: Annoying. Got in her way on Innistrad while she was stitching. She did get to dissect a few during Eldritch Moon when they were eldrazified, and she finds their anatomy and integration with mana very interesting. In Ravnica, she's been experimenting on @lyxine's Roazhon, a former Firemane.

Sphinxes: A bit pretentious, but with fascinating minds. She wishes she could study them. She's never gotten her hands on one yet ever, dead or alive.

Demons: A risky source of power to be avoided unless absolutely necessary. Their black-mana-saturated, heat-resistant body parts would be of good use in some of her creations.

Dragons: Their varied elemental affinities, tough scales, and mana glands make for a great creature to scavenge parts from. Not many true dragons have ended up in her lab, but she has examined plenty of drakes.
