from someone who does not ship llorumi, what about them being a romantic pairing intrigues you? im curious to broaden my horizons lol
HIIIII MOOT <3
First of all, I'd like to appreciate you for being open-minded! It's a rare gem to encounter people with that mindset nowadays --- never take it for granted.
Secondly, there's so many things about Llorumi being a romantic pairing that intrigues me, but what stands out to me the most is how easily Lloyd and Harumi can remove their masks for each other, and the way they can see the other person for who they truly are. The line between love and hate for them is something they cross constantly, going back and forth between the two. But that's only because the people under the masks are raw, untamed, something they taught themselves to fear because they think they have to live up to some sort of expectation: for Lloyd, it's being the Green Ninja, and for Harumi, it's being the Jade Princess and eventually the Quiet One.
Most of all, it's about the struggle of accepting yourself for who you are, even the parts you want to hide. Lloyd sees the Quiet One, but he also sees Harumi. Harumi sees the Green Ninja, but she also sees Lloyd. This raw, personal battle is anything but romantic, but that's the beauty of Llorumi --- or any ship (even a duo) with this dynamic, for that matter. If someone else can love and accept me wholly, then I can be motivated to do the same for myself.
I'm not excusing Harumi's terrible, damaging actions, and Lloyd's mistake of falling for the same manipulative patterns multiple times. The reason they do those things is because they've been hurt and are seeking validation and love. Therefore, their understanding of each other's true selves could help them learn how to heal from the trauma that caused them to wear their own masks in the first place.
Of course, Llorumi was left off at the end of Crystallized, at the very start of both their healing journeys, so we could only guess what would've happened between them afterwards. I, personally, would like to think that they are healing together --- slowly but surely --- and as friends, because I don't think they should be in a romantic relationship just yet, but once they've come to terms with themselves, then I think they'll be ready to take the next step.

I LOVE the Oni trilogy genuinely so much, and I love how S10 worked as it’s finale since it truly did come full circle. The only thing I noticed is that it’s the weakest season of the three of them, but for fitting so much into 4 episodes, I won’t nitpick it too harshly.
While I feel like the Oni were a bit anti climatic given the tone of the season, they still were a terrifying threat. They had been spoken of and feared for so long, to see them in their glory was incredible, I only wish the season was able to expand on it. The concept of the darkness alone was horrifying, though for a species known for mass destruction, not much was destroyed.  At the same time, I can see the darkness being the sole destruction work all on it’s own, just because of how ominous and eerie it is, to be consumed and frozen by a darkness you CAN’T stop. Â
I will say, my favorite part of this season was Lloyd and Garmadons dynamic. This is my FAVORITE Garmadon season and they were so funny in a very bittersweet way.  I love the way they handled him grappling with his buried humanity and care in a quiet way, and I like the lack of closure. It contributes to the tragedy of the situation.
Lloyd being visited by the First Spinjitzu Master and the weight of the whole scene was very special. The utmost respect given to him by not only his grandfather, but Ninjago's creator, effectively goes to show how impactful Lloyd’s actions were. It was also very dreamy and ethereal in setting, along with Lloyd only remembering it as a dream sequence since he chose to go back. It’s so good.
The only other complaint I really had was Cole’s fall and how everyone reacted. I think it just suffered the shorter runtime of the season, so it couldn’t be expanded on properly. I just felt like it was very rushed. It worked enough though, it was still impactful.Overall I enjoyed the season and it was a great and conclusive end to the Oni Trilogy, I just grieve the fact it was more like a 4 part special and not a full length season. I’m giving it a 9/10.
Season 9 was genuinely so good. Instead of having S8 and S9 battling for the top space I’m merging them both together as one ultimate season, since they are directly hand in hand anyway. But S9 was one of the best.
What a heavy season. I LOVED it so. It carries on what S8 started and took it to the next level. Everything was dangerously real and serious, and the characters themselves knew the gravity of the situation.  A lot of my thoughts are pretty much the same for S8, since it’s essentially just a part two, though everything good about S8 was just a bit better in S9.
What I LOVE the most was how it portrayed the villains.  S8 gave us complicated, though deliberate and malicious villains, whereas S9 gives us insight into who these villains are. The groups are split into two different worlds with two different goals, and still experience a similar hardship.
Garmadon and Harumi, although still cruel, both experience moments of hesitation and doubt regarding who they are. In the scene where Harumi offers herself as his daughter, she pretty much manipulates Garmadon into believing they are in the right when Garmadon begins to doubt, even though he knows only the worst of him has returned.  Harumi has her own doubt when the building collapses, where she couldn’t stand and watch another children go through the same fate of loosing her parents, despite her largest motivator wanting to make others suffer the same as she did. Â
And in the First Realm, I wouldn’t even count the Dragon Hunters as a group villains- strictly antagonists. It was nothing personal at first, their culture and beliefs are their own survival. Even as it progressed, it was just control and power, which is completely normal, if not necessary, to those that were raised around it. The Hunters only lived in fear under Iron Barron, who reigned with a selfish hand, and switched up unanimously once they learned the truth. Â
Although Iron Barron is First Realm’s “Garmadon” here, he did make a good point to Wu; the world they lived in is cruel, power is everything. He knows that if he has control and respect, his group grows bigger and stronger, and it allows them to have a chance. Had this belief not turn him into a selfish leader, he could’ve seen that the dragons didn’t need to turn down such dark ways in order to survive, and he doesn’t learn this lesson until he finally confronts Firstbourne.
Both of which bleed into the seasons biggest themes- unity and collective support. There is no solo villain, or solo hero. Every character relies on others on all sides, and it feeds the lessons the season is teaching us.
While it is easy to fall into fear and blind control, there is hope, there is comfort in knowing others around you are besides you. Throughout the season, Lloyd is blind to see that he still has support after loosing most of his family, and he has to overcome it to help unite the city. The Ninja still have each other, but they are completely out of their element and the only person they could go too for support is Wu, who can’t help them in the way they’d expect him too. Instead, it’s the Ninja who are helping Wu, since he doesn’t regain his memories until his elemental power is triggered, and it’s that giving back that gives the Ninja the trust and hope they needed.   Not to mention, the theme of change and transformation is where growth comes in.
In regards to Wu, this was truly a necessary reset for his character. Wu is so grateful for the Ninja in the end, even when he does regain his sense of self, he credits the Ninja as the ones who taught him all he needed to know, and I find it to being such a beautiful full circle moment. He is LITERALLY pure of heart no matter how flawed.
And it contrasts with Garmadon so sadly. The fishing flashback and it’s symbolism so accurately describes them ( and the season itself ) and the situations they are in. They’re both in the right, they’re both hungry, but whereas Garmadon takes Wu’s bait to utilize all of whats necessary for his own survival, Wu only uses what he has and hopes that good things will come his way without the need to sabotage others for it, and even in their youth, it’s a concept Garmadon couldn’t understand.
Hope expects nothing, power expects everything. Â
There is nothing inherently wrong with either side until people start to get hurt, and S9 proves this.
Hunted was so impactful, and the review barely grazes the surface. I have to rate this a 10/10.
I’ve always wondered why Lloyd doesn’t have a dragon form. We all know he has an oni form so why doesn’t he have a dragon form. He has some dragon and oni blood so technically he can use it.
This also applies to garmadon because he has an oni form but he has the genetics of both dragon and oni. So logically speaking he should have a dragon form. Unless his resurrection made him more oni than dragon.
Wu is honestly the person to most likely achieve a dragon form due to how he acts. But he also has the possibility to have an oni form. But I doubt he will ever achieve oni form.
This brings up an interesting concept. Can there be a simultaneous dragon and oni form. As in both forms at the same time. It wouldn’t surprise me if there was.
They might show this in future seasons of dragons rising but that is yet to be determined.

#zane’s niceness. see his niceness.#his best quality: his nice.#no but seriously zane has a huge heart and it’s so important to me
(It’s criminally under-addressed in the story itself, but Zane’s Kindness is literally what’s powering his purpose of protecting those who cannot protect themselves. It was passed down to him by his father, but Zane has picked it up and built his identity around it because he genuinely cares for everyone he meets. He loves his team he loves the towns and cities he goes to he loves the animals he befriends. It makes the running theme of social exclusion through his story pretty sad honestly. Also you guys are kind of just going to have to trust me on this one bc due to lack of Zane focus they don’t show him befriending other animals or something despite the fact that he’s open and curious about the Falcon when initially introduced. He also doesn’t really get shown talking to people outside of the team. In some ways, this analysis is of what he could be, rather that what he’s got the chance to be right now. Material focusing on what Zane was doing post-amnesia pre-Master Wu when.)
#Kai is in Perseverance because he does whatever it takes in regards to protecting the people he loves#and when it comes down to the wire he has always always pulled through
(He did whatever it took to give Nya a good life. He was gonna just start Walking after the skeleton’s vehicles when she was taken for lack of anything else he could do. He allowed Master Wu to recruit him initially in service of saving her. When push came to shove, he pushed through his own doubts and wants to save Lloyd because he knew that was what was necessary.)
#Cole and Jay’s true potential episodes seem similar on a surface level because they’re both about coming clean to someone they care about#and it’s true that they have that in common!#but Cole’s deal was he needed to be true to himself and heal the rift between what he actually was and what he was pretending to be#as well as repair his relationship with his dad#he needed to be Cole completely.
#whereas Jay was hyping himself up because he thought himself on his own wasn’t enough#and he needed to make himself sound like someone else in order to impress Nya#along with not hiding the fact that he was literally turning into a snake#he needed the bravery to face his transformation and to decide to stop lying to Nya#he needed to stop running away and not facing his problems#also Jay has anxiety and he copes with it by talking a lot. so since that’s such an overt piece of his character I think that’s a fun bonus#(I hc that Cole ALSO has anxiety he just directs it inwards most of the time. but that’s not what his story is About)
#so because their characters are different in such a way and I can see them by holding them up to each other#they go in different rows! ::D
#Nya goes in Justice because she’s always motivated by things being Unfair#why isn’t she a ninja with the rest of them? because she’s a girl. Unfair.#(in-universe it’s probably because the golden prophecy didn’t include her but like that’s the writers decision. which they made#because she’s a girl. still unfair.)
[Right, so a solid half of my tags got deleted and I had to rewrite them because apparently tumblr has a tag limit.]
Lloyds Determination because he’s the Chosen One and he has the Most Special Power which is basically what Determination is-in game. I was a little leery of putting him in here at first because his character is so ill-defined, but I do think that Determination suits him actually. Especially in the season two finale, you can see glints of what he could be, given time and space.
Pixal is in Patience because she literally is and it’s hard for me to ignore the obvious picks. Even though she learns to be other things as she grows. Plus it would be a bit dishonest to act like she ISN’T Patience. Just remember not to freeze in place, okay girl?
Aww Pixal and Zane are right next to each other that’s cute ::)
I did Wu and Garmadon next. Long story short Wu’s story is all about trying to be a good person and to live up to his father’s expectations for him, so yeah go in the daddy issues row with cole. (He has always always been trying to figure out how to be a good person and how to find that balance. Says something that his main role is as a teacher: you think he was trying to pass on what he’d learned to them, too?)
Garmadon has countless cases of Determination and putting his all into everything he’s doing, for literally everything except actually taking over the world in seasons 1 & 2, funnily enough. He lazed about and did wacky plots instead of actually trying to hurt anyone: compare this to his other actions. He’s more than capable of whipping up an army on a dime to save his son, escape the underworld, acquire the four golden weapons to make a mega-weapon, and resist the venom of the great devourer for MANY YEARS, literally his entire adolescence, living with it far longer than he had ever been without it. Even when fully evil he still cared for his family.
But like he was so reluctant to take over the world. I mean, he had to get possessed by the Overlord to finish the job because he was just delaying and dragging his feet all the time. Really the only reason he was doing it at all was because he thought it was the only way A) the rest of the world would understand him B) him and his family could be together and on the same side again.
And of course, he more than capable of sacrificing himself for the greater good. Once he’s Determined that’s the correct course of action, he sees it through to the end.
Skylor babygirl I am so sorry I wrote out an entire thing for you and I don’t have the energy to do it again. Long story short her arc in s4 fits both integrity and justice: she had to learn what her father was doing was wrong and then reshape herself so she could be the kind of person that could do the right thing, instead of having to hide who and what she truly was from people who could be her friends. She switched sides as soon as was feasibly possible, and she stayed herself even through being turned into a snake.
(She doesn’t go in Intergrity only because she doesn’t quite fit with the other two in that row. Although she DOES have the integrity daddy issues curse lmaoooo. She doesn’t go in Just Justice either bc a) that’s not quite right for her story b) I feel weird about putting two of our major female characters right next to each other like them and their stories are the same. Although wait wouldn’t that be on the writers instead of on me? *stares their way judgementally*
Anyways Skylor I love you and I need to do analysis on your story more. Some other time when I can do it properly though.)
Morro I was initially thinking was a twisted form of justice (“It’s not FAIR that I’m the green ninja even though I trained so hard”) But he’s actually a warped form of perseverance. He WILL be the green ninja. He will do whatever it takes. He persevered so long and so hard that he’s still here and going after his goal even past his natural lifespan. He’s clinging to a twisted view of the past, one where he could’ve been the green ninja if only things had gone the way he had been promised. Plus, same soul color as Kai!
Ohhhhh fsm is that it? Is that all the analysis that got deleted? I think it is.
Okay closing statements. I’m actually really happy with how this came out! We’ve been having it cooking for a while. I feel like I understand the characters better now too. I’m happy I made this and got to share it with everyone. Okay have a nice day now! Go my silly ninjago and undertale crossover analysis ::D!

listen guys, i hate it as much as the next ninjago fan, but Zane becoming more robotic in later seasons actually makes sense
So his power source is what made him 'human,' right? Whatever half-magical mysterious artifact Dr. Julien managed to find or make is what gave Zane emotions, and memories, and a heart. well as we all know, that was destroyed in season 3 when he died. And seeing as the show makes it clear that was a one-of-a-kind piece, Zane couldn't really have rebuilt himself with another.
So there's probably one of two options going on and both of them are kinda depressing:
Zane's been an ai this whole time (his essence uploaded into the digiverse code? sounds a lot like all those sci fi things of 'living forever' as ai yk? like the movie transcendence?)
which is slightly less sad, and makes more sense to me, Pixal split the half heart she had, so each of them had a little piece. But during Rebooted, they say Zane's unlimited power source is actually not so unlimited. So as time has gone on and Zane's been running off 1/4 what he was intended to, it's worn down and just lost life.
And yes yes ik it's really just a writing thing, but i like making in-universe explanations for every possible slip, so ha. sadness be upon ye.
i thought the scene where garmadon was banished to the cursed realm was sad enough already, i did NOT need to analyze it NO
(analysis got long again so ↓)
(yt link to the soundtrack video)
lloyd's "you want my blessing to walk out on us again, fine, but dont expect me to stand around to see you go" and then his anger while fighting the anacondrai made sense to me and the flashbacks made sense but not so much the reason why he suddenly decided to go back? i just thought he was angry at fate and just needed a sec
no actually um
yknow how he has abandonment issues
his father wanted to leave, like for good this time, and lloyd got mad at him because
oh, apparently he doesnt care about me as much as i thought he did. after the hundreds of battles i fought to get him back, he'll just leave. just like that. leave and never come back. doesnt he care at all how much i need him? did he ever care as much as i did? no maybe not, maybe ive just been a side effect of turning good, something he can lose without that much pain --
when he saved me at the fire temple i think he cried a little and he didnt stop running until i was safe--
but he'll give me up for these stupid snakes, give this whole life up, i dont matter--
the desperate pain in his eyes when he couldnt stop fighting me, the breaks in his voice as he choked through a devil to stop it from killing me--
but he--
he picked me up like i was two years old and he was shaking and holding mom and he made so many promises and so many apologies and he didnt let go of us the entire day and he swore off everything from his old life, everything but us, and he didnt care that i cried for two hours, he held me the whole time.
then his anger started to break down and he just hated snakes with his entire being
but he went right back to the ship and read the curse because he remembered that garmadon is his real family, and realized his father does care, and it does hurt to make this choice, but he's doing it because he's a hero
so lloyd let him go because he knew garmadon loved him
Angsty analysis anon returns (still procastrinating), with the requested S5 Nya analysis. I had a lot of fun with it! I'm also curious about your take on it...
But before that, for the failed rescue au, yes Kai's glaring at Cole because Cole is a ghost and Lloyd just had a nightmare so he might not be in a good enough mental state to remember that the ghost in the room is Cole who'd never even contemplate it...
Now, back to Nya, and I want to talk about something with horrifying implications right away:
The phone call
Misako gets a call that is supposedly the police calling Lloyd as backup to a museum break in, but it's actually likely Morro (the two officers talk about not having called for backup). Point is, the guys and Wu are talking about how they have to distribute the posters for the tea shop while the call goes on. So it's only Nya and Misako who are paying attention to it (Nya even asks "did they order a lot?").
So I think Nya deduced that the call came from Morro very shortly after Misako did, and given that Misako leaves as Morro attacks, Nya was probably who had to tell the guys about it. That they just... Let Lloyd walk into a trap without backup...
There's also the whole thing about her not being allowed to help out, despite her samurai capabilities, because of the water training... But I want to talk about something else first, the ghost invasion of her cave:
There is no doubt that Morro read that info out of Lloyd's mind. Morro literally says while possessing Lloyd that he "knows where they could find new toys" when Ghoultar wants to possess more people.
And Nya definitely realized that. (I'll leave the theorizing on how she felt about that to you)
Oh and the elephant in the room, the Nya almost blows Lloyd to bits because she forgets that Morro isn't just a random dude, but puppetting around her little brother's body scene. She definitely had nightmares and massive guilt about that one...
She's visibly desperate and stressed the whole season (the stubbornness and resistance with Wu, the whole "you're trying too hard" arc with Ronin) and she has every right to be. There's so much pressure because this is the only thing Morro doesn't know about them, their only chance of surprise and it's an op ghostbusting power.
Kai is the most aware of how much danger Lloyd's life is in.
It's not even hinted at, but I think Nya's the most aware of how damaged Lloyd can end up if he survives, based on her special experiences this season.
She also lacks her supports. Kai and Jay are out there trying to save Lloyd and she's stuck at home training and kinda helpless, like back in S1. The whole samurai thing had been meant to make sure she's out there, helping, and not stuck home helpless, and now it's taken away, in a situation where she probably thinks every hand counts. She made Samurai X herself, and she has to give it up (Ghoultar taking the mech is the first real push on her to let it go...)
Her arc is both beautiful and kind of forced this season... She integrates further into the team, but not by her own choice, which makes it feel bittersweet. But hey, at least her true potential is op and awesome, and since the ATLA reference in S7 (The fire and water symbols on the twin dragon blade in the blacksmith shop basement) we can wonder whether or not she may be able to bloodbend, so yeah.
Oh that reminds me.
Nya dressing up as Lloyd in the finale.
I just love the implications that they have similar physique (in true adopted sibling fashion), enough that Morro doesn't notice the different eyes (and if we think of them as human, probably the different tone of skin too) in the dark even though it's kinda obvious (and also, Lloyd's probably thin af by the end, his tailored gi hanging off of him, while Nya isn't, so there's also how Morro didn't notice that either but oh well).
And also the subtle implication through personality traits that this was her idea. There could've been multiple ways to get her close to Morro that aren't nearly as stupidly dangerous as this (there was a good chance that Lloyd could be "kill on sight" in Stiix), and also to get Lloyd, who also gets a dangerous af task, close to the realm crystal.
Kai or Lloyd or any of the guys would have never suggested anything like that, in fact I'm fairly certain she had to argue with a protective Kai and a guilt complexed "I've seen what he can do and I'm not gonna let you take that risk" Lloyd for it.
But Nya's been feeling helpless all this season and now she gets to help out and spare her little brother from having to fight with his worst nightmare who might be stronger than him while in no condition to properly fight, while also getting a prime opportunity to take revenge on the fucker who tortured said little brother and evaporate his ass back to hell.
And well... Nya is stubborn. She had to give up being a samurai because of her water powers being useful. And what ghost would be more deserving of being the first she evaporates than Morro?
And I need to remind you that she got really damn close to poofing Morro.
Some of the explanation for her true potential was off, but the pure awesomeness and spectacle of her making a literal tsunami, meaning that her true potential is up there in spectacle with Lloyd's or Kai's (oh hey, another subtle RGB trait! Let's be honest, out of thr OG4 Kai's was the most visually epic, and the final battle scene for Lloyd just speaks for itself, and so does Nya's) makes up for it.
This is a season that features Lloyd's personal hell of a villain, and yet victory is scored by Nya and that's a huge nod towards showing how capable she is (this also has massive implications for Lloyd, but they never addressed that, hopefully they will in DRS3 P2 or in DRS4)
So yeah... That's what I can see from Nya's arc in S5.
Her role in the aftermath is pure headcanon, so if you wanna see that, or her arc in my aus that will have to be a separate ask cause this is already getting really long...
Yippee!!! I had very mixed feelings overall on how Nya's arc in s5 was written, so I'm curious ask to your thoughts. also I'm realizing it's kinda rude of me not to be sticking some of my asks under cuts, so responses below!
:( oh we gotta start by making me sad. Got it. It makes sense, but ough the angst. Just thinking about poor Cole too in that scenario, still adjusting to this new form, probably already afraid of being viewed differently, and having that on his plate :( everyone is miserable all around.
Oh straight to the horrors! why am I not suprised lol
omg, yeah, I didn't even consider that it was just the two of them when they accidentally sent Lloyd right into Morro's hands....
OH MY GOODNESS THIS POOR GIRL!!! She must've been feeling so immensely guilty for it too. She and Misako both. I wonder if the two of them talked about it... feeling guilty over how maybe if the two of them had just realized something was off... they could've saved him....
I ACTUALLY REALLY LOVE THE GHOST INVASIONS OF THE SAMURAI X CAVE!!! big fan of how that one was handled! Fun fact that episode is actually one of my all time favorites in the series.
Oh absolutely. Having access to Lloyd's memories/thoughts through Possession is honestly one of many factors that (to me) contribute to how much of a threat he is. Like if we assume that the possession grants him that access, that means that Morro has access to so many too secrets through Lloyd.
I personally think Nya would be more angry than anything else over this. Angry that something as important to her has Samurai X has been exploited. Angry that Morro is using her little brother. Maybe even anger at herself for letting Lloyd go to the museum alone.
RIGHT LIKE THAT WAS WILD!!!! I think that in that moment she was just truly blinded by anger and hurt or even guilt and couldn't think things through if she tried. Which I think says a lot about her emotional state. And hard agree, I think she'd be struggling hard core under the weight of that knowledge.
I think it's absolutely understandable for her to be as high-strung as she is. The weight of the world is on her shoulders. It is her who has the power inside that is crucial to Morro's defeat and getting her brother back. Like she's gone from assuming she has no elemental powers to finding out she has the most crucial one to Morro's defeat.
Yeah, that tracks.
Oh, interesting, I hadn't considered that. I don't have too much to say about it, but I definitely think it's interesting, and I see that.
YES!!! She's as part of the team as everyone else, even as Samurai X, as far as I'm concerned. she's literally dealing with the weight of all this largely on her own. AND EXACTLY YOU GET IT!! Nya's Samurai X arc back in season 1 is an arc I have a huge soft spot for. It was about her taking back control and bringing herself to be involved when she was told she couldn't be; it was, to me, really about Nya taking her power and agency into her own hands. I think it is perfectly logical for her to be distressed when the mech is taken from her physically and when her identity is being taken from her figuratively. That was an identity she created to take back control, and now her losing it is entirely out of her control. I firmly believe that at this point in time, Nya was grieving over the loss of her Samurai X identity by becoming the water ninja. She created that for herself. I CARE ABOUT THIS A LOT OKAY!!!!!
I think the execution of the arc is a bit messy. I think it's strange half of it feels like it being about her giving up too easily but then also half of it being about her caring too much; idk those two ideas kind of feel like they're in conflict to me. However, I will never not think about her becoming a ninja and letting go of Samurai X as equal tragedy and victory. As you said, it's not her choice. However, I think it's also what pre-Samurai X Nya wanted in a sense; that's why she made that identity. She was barred from participating otherwise. I think Nya has very complex feelings with being a ninja (tbh I feel all 3 rgb sibs do but that's a tangent), and that stems from the fact that it wasn't what she wanted but what she had to be. NGL I GIGGLE EVERY TIME AT HER TRUE POTENTIAL BECAUSE I'M SORRY THE SCENE WITH THE ICE CREAM CONE IS INSANELY SILLY. but other than that, I think it's cool. ALSO BLOODBENDING NYA WOULD BE INSANE BTW.
Yes!!!! that was so hype!!!!!
I also adore that implication; I hadn't thought of that, but you're so right. They must have a similar build to pass off as each other. I actually HC Nya and Lloyd to be the same physical age post tomorrow's tea. It really is cute that we can take from this an implication that Lloyd at least somewhat resembles his big adopted siblings... it's just sweet. (Lloyd my poor :(((( he really didn't deserve to go through any of this).
oh I hadn't thought about it being her idea!!!! BUT YEAH!!!!!
Honestly, yeah, I absolutely see this. I think Kai would reluctantly back off considering his growth back in season 1, but he definitely would be hesitant and at least try to persuade Nya that this wasn't a good idea. And absolutely Lloyd would be thinking about what he's had to go through and wanting more than anything to not risk Nya (or anyone else) suffering through what he had to.
EXACTLY!!!!! When you think about it, Nya's first arcs in the early seasons (Sam X and Possession) really do come down to her being done with being pushed to the side and bringing herself into the narrative.
YES!!!! Nya did not work that hard to become the water ninja to not confront Morro.
WHICH TOTALLY TRACKS ALL THINGS CONSIDERED
Yeah, the explanation was definitely not my favorite, but I totally agree on the spectacle being hype. And I totally agree, and honestly, I'm tempted to put her above Kai spectacle wise. Kai will always have my favorite true potential (literally sucked me into the franchise), but in terms of spectacle I think Nya beats him. (I totally agree. All three of them had such cool ones.... hsdjfkldsjfldsjfdl rgb sibs you'll always be famous).
Totally agree. Nya has proven again and again that when given the opportunity, she is an incredibly skilled and formidable opponent. I cannot overstate how true that is. (So true.... pleaseee DR pleaseee)
NYA MY BELOVED!!!! look, I know I'm a Kai fan, but Nya is actually so important to me. She's genuinely (in my humble opinion) one of the most developed of the og ninja. I think the writers dropped the ball with her sometimes, but I also think she's gotten some really cool and fascinating stuff. Seabound is one of my favorite seasons for a reason. Nya is such a genuinely fascinating and cool character.
