After working out their differences, she now raises her head before he can even ask her to, so there's no doubt about the hierarchy (most behavior guides are wrong about this; in my experience it has always been the dominant pig that forces the submissive to raise its head. You'll see this clearly when you introduce babies to adults)

Guess who developed an abscess at the surgery site! For a second I thought it was a hernia (bad, risky, worth calling the vet), but it had already burst, and that abscess smell is impossible to mistake for anything else.
Thankfully he had an abscess when I got him, so I already have saline, antibacterial spray, and fucidin salve. I couldn't express all the puss from the abscess in one go, because it was too painful for him, so I'll probably keep treating this for a week or two, just to be safe.
And thankfully for Nimbus, I had a bit of iceberg left over, which is a rare treat for these guys. It's basically just candy for them, not part of their regular diet. But it made the whole ordeal a bit more tolerable for Nimbus.
