Neil Young "Trans" LP. Hands down, "Sample and Hold" is the first song my dad introduced me to that I became obsessed with. It is one of the crunchiest, hard rocking, modern sounding songs ever! It is also one of the meanest, most horrible piece of shit songs ever written (listen to the lyrics) so while it is still one of my favorite songs ever, I also kinda hate it. Sorta sums up my thoughts on my dad. And I'm ok with that. One of the greatest things my dad taught me was that nobody is perfect. While I loved my pops more than most people I've ever l known, I learned from him you can still be an amazing person but also still be shitty in some areas of your person. Mark more or less taught me that anybody you think is perfect is hiding something. But he did it by not being perfect. He didn't hide too much, which I respect.
