3 years ago today I attended Knoxville Fanboy Expo and it was the best day! I’m so thankful I saw Mike Nesmith (1st time) and Mickey Dolenz (3rd time), since Nez has now passed on. Cary Elwes was amazing and so funny! Such a nice and welcoming guy. Took a picture with a life-sized Toothless! Met former Disney Animator, Nik Ranieri, who drew a headshot of Lumiere for me.

Now, from the previous post, I did mentioned that Nik did the animation of Doppler... but in Facebook I couldn’t find the videos of Doppler. Luckily, in his reel, there was one scene from TP that he did.
Also, for the 2D testing of Ralph from “Wreck-it-Ralph,” that was his last hand-drawn work in Disney Animation.
Nik did fantastic job for character animation from Disney. And to those who is stuck between 2D and CGI animation, animators like Nik Ranieri did both (so I recommend to anyone to look at animators who did both 2D and CGI).
Nik Ranieri (the same dude who animated Lumiere and Hades) animated Kuzco from “The Emperor’s New Groove.” He and Joe Moshier both did a lot of work for character designing Kuzco until the end.
