3 years ago today I attended Knoxville Fanboy Expo and it was the best day! I’m so thankful I saw Mike Nesmith (1st time) and Mickey Dolenz (3rd time), since Nez has now passed on. Cary Elwes was amazing and so funny! Such a nice and welcoming guy. Took a picture with a life-sized Toothless! Met former Disney Animator, Nik Ranieri, who drew a headshot of Lumiere for me.

After a couple of weeks redoing all the animation I had done for the “dinner sequence”, another meeting was convened. “Now he’s too ugly”. “He’s not working”. “He’s not handsome enough”. “Come up with something else”. Back to the drawing board—again. I was totally frustrated at the prospect of redoing that footage for a third time.
