‘It’s been exactly four months since Dean Winchester died. Kayleigh knows, because she’s counted the weeks, the days, practically the hours and the minutes. It’s almost impossible not to, after so long living so very codependent on each other. It’s been exactly four months since first contacting Missouri, going through her father’s storage unit and her mother’s things, and then meeting with a friend of her mother’s, and then a friend of a friend, so far down the line that she isn’t sure, anymore, if the friend she’s learned from is really a friend at all, but it doesn’t matter. Nothing matters anymore. Nothing but this.’

In which Azazel was the last big bad - there’s no apocalypse, no war between heaven and hell, and no angel is coming to save Dean Winchester.
