For the Drawtober prompt ‘Spellbook Apprentice’
Stone Ocean has been in my head since the latest batch dropped 🦋🌈✨ I love how colorful Araki’s illustrations are and wanted to try something similar in my own style!
Designs based on the prompt ‘Lily Princess’ 𑁍 Which dress is your favorite? ✨1 - I wanted the dress to suggest lilies without actually having any flowers on it. The pink and green palette is based on a water lily’s colors, and the top of the dress is shaped like a lily pad. ✨2- The sleeker design was made to contrast the two ball gowns. The layers of the skirt are based on the colors and shape of a lily bud. ✨3 - The dress is based entirely on a lily flower. Because the skirt has a lot going on visually, I kept the top half of the design simple.
