#nightdragon

Nightdragon is basically a powerful but rare dragon species that I have had in my head for a long loooong time. However, it has been something I never had an actual design or a visual idea (except for the general colouration and abilities), despite having an entire world planned in my head.

I am not gonna go into too much detail here since there is a lot of little details about this species. I will tell more about that if and when I will draw more nightdragons (and more specifically, my oc, which I've also had for a very long time) and potentially other dragons as well.

Anyway, nightdragons are typically a peaceful and curious species, but they will defend themselves and others if attacked. They are also rather skittish due to their relationship towards another dragon species that is often very aggressive. The stars on their feathers are only visible in the dark but the aurora on their wings are visible in the light as well. They can be "switched off" if needed or wanted.

Abilities;

- Can extract souls from bodies - Is able to manipulate spiritual energy, (giving her the ability to possess or strip those unworthy or guilty of their souls.) - Can enter into people's dreams (generally those who are dying or close to it, but it can be anyone) (This skill is typically used to encourage them to let go of their souls and come with her) Skills; - Uses a flute to help calm restless spirits or her wisps. - She's extremely persistent and can be manipulative (However this is used for good to calm distressed souls unwilling to leave the world)

Personality; - Understanding, pure, kind - Arcane and secretive - Though she comes off as extremely sensitive and understanding, she's a powerful being capable of extreme acts and is not easily persuaded.

Design notes; - Tail and neck mist intensifies or dampens with emotions. - Moons on her neck glow - Wings are aged and torn
