Traci Thirteen is the daughter of the famed occult investigator, Dr. Terrance Thirteen, and a powerful sorceress known as Meihui Lan.  Traci’s mother died under tragic circumstances and her father blamed the matter on her meddling in magic.  For this reason. Traci’s father has forbidden her to follow in her mother’s path and become a sorceress; this despite her being a ‘Homo Magi’ with an innate proclivity for magic.  

In her early adolescence, Traci shared an adventure alongside her father where the two met various heroes who had been ‘erased from continuity’ as a result of cosmic crises. The affair left Traci very much inclined toward seeking out further action and adventure.

Traci left home when she was older and moved to Metropolis where she began to learn about the particular ‘urban magic’ that exists in large cities.  Her father’s wishes notwithstanding, Traci soon became an apt magic user, specializing in spells that enable teleportation.  Traci was recruited by The Phantom Stranger during the Day of Vengeance event.  Herein the young heroine aided in the recapturing of various demons who had been released after The Specter had destroyed the Rock of Eternity.  

Some time later, Traci began dating The Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes) and had adventures alongside The Teen Titans.  Her relationship with Jaime ended and Traci entered into a romance with Natasha Irons.  Continuing to hone her magical craft, Traci working part time as a bartender at The Oblivion Bar.  She additionally shared adventures alongside Raven (whom she had a huge crush on).

Thereafter, Traci was approached by Baron Winters who recruited her into his Night Force.  This was a group of supernatural heroes who combated the villainous Shadowriders. 

G.I. Joe 25 looks to be building on the story from the Free Comic Book Day issue and the various Night Force one shots. Also like many of the bigger issues they seem to be doing covers for both the male and female audiences.
