As a nurse who works in a care home and cares for residents in their final days I should be prepared for this episode, but as a lifelong EastEnders fan I’m not ready.
Next week will be 7 years since my mum died, and one thing that we both loved was Eastenders. So, of course they decide to bring Nigel’s story to a conclusion at my lowest point possible.

I did watch a little when Bradley was there but I have no recollection of her character at all. I think I started watching around the time Mad May was there and eventually stopped after Michael left and started watching Hollyoaks instead 😂
I do mean Bradley Branning lmao I promise Clare was not trying to con Nigel irl 😭 But yeah, Clare was really sweet as a kid, and her dynamic with Nigel was precious. From what I remember, she came to the square around 2008 and was bitter because she and Nigel had grown apart (something to do with Julie’s son, Josh, I think??). It’ll be nice to see her return, but I hope she goes back to being sweet Clare 😭 (I feel like it’s gonna feel like when Pat died and Janine was so upset and finally nice to her :( ) And that’s totally fair — god, Mad May 👀
