#nibblesandbits

1. I was inside two beautiful homes today and I have even more analysis paralysis when it comes to painting my house.

2. I finally had a chance to meet Ali from nibblesandbits​ in the flesh, and it was like catching up with an old friend. She is as stylish and thoughtful and funny and real as you would expect from reading her blog. And I want to steal all of her wall colors.

3. We “Fluttered” Cody’s friend Clark and they caught us so we had a mini playdate/grilling of Clark’s mama about monetizing blogs and sponsored posts.

4. My boys had Mango Tango for dinner and Subway for dessert and I’m not even sorry.

We also have Zingo. They like it, but are so excited about the pieces and the mechanism that they haven’t really settled down to understand the game yet. They also really love Hullabaloo, though they don’t quite get all the directions. I think it’s really good listening practice for them, though. That’s all we’ve done so far.

I think you might not be into this, but roasting a whole chicken provides us meat for a week and is cheap. Also, beans. And eggs (like frittatas). And more pasta. Always pasta.

Definitely not into roasting a whole chicken (I know, I'm such an obnoxious princess, but I just can't do meat with bones) BUT my mom works at a grocery store deli and at the end of each day, they pull off all the white meat from their rotisserie chickens and freeze it in bulk to sell to employees. My mom buys up a bunch of it and then gives it to me. It's a godsend and DEFINITELY cuts down on costs (even if she weren't generously giving it to me, a 5-8lb bag would only cost about $3).

And while I love beans, eggs, and pasta (it's possible I missed my calling as a vegetarian), my husband does not feel quite as passionately about those items and generally hates the vegetables that accompany all those foods :-/
