It is not much that one has to do for others, than to listen and be patient with them. Yet there is so much pretence on the social media circus, as if someone is adding points for being a good virtual avatar. Helping even one person around you is much more impactful than projecting a false image of ‘being there for you’ on social media for 1000s of people. While one may not know what to say or do when someone opens up, listening with an open and genuine mind is enough. I often don’t know what to say. Most of the times a person needs to speak, not to get a solution or advice but to listen to themselves talk and get it out, maybe easing momentarily the storm of troubling thoughts they are battling internally.
