I was able to shower finally after getting my nexplanon put in yesterday. My arm still hurts but at least I don't have the gauze wrap on anymore. Plus I feel clean again.
I got it to help with my heavy and painful periods. To the point all I can do is curl up into myself, cry, and puke. Because that's how bad it hurts. Sometimes I even bleed threw my period pads. I'm hoping that it'll help me. (Plus it also doubles as birth control!)
Got the nexplanon and have been spotting since April 16th. Drastic measures have called for me taking 3 ibuprofen every 8 hours to stop it.

Why did the doc recommend I get a medieval torture device inserted into my uterus without anestesia when theres literally the option of like. A little plastic thingamajig that goes right under your skin and takes like 5 minutes to insert and you get local anestesia. And also it's more effective and has fewer side effects. Why would I want to try the uterine wall stabber 5000 first?

ts always happens a few days before and during my period, everything slowly goes back to normal as my period ends. is there a specific term that covers all these? - trouble focusing/feeling ditzy and clumsy - 1 or 2 big pimples on the face - easily overwhelmed, intensely irritable/snappy/moody/bitchy (mood swings) - weeping, crying, apologizing occasionally for said bitchiness (mood swings) - diarrhea - cramping usually the day before and days 1-2, painful enough to take an advil some background: on my 3rd year of Nexplanon, been on 50mg of sertraline for like 4 months.
