1.       Love is conditional.

Anyone can declare their love for you but love is earned on a basis of conscious or unconscious conditions being met.

2.       Your thoughts are truly not your own.

Your thoughts are merely a modification of collective opinions. Select your knowledge base wisely.

3.       It’s ok not to feel ok.

Shit happens. It’s ok to embrace the phase of frustration, that’s when a change will happen.

4.       Become your own best friend.

Make friends with yourself. In solitude, a lot comes to light. In the end, you were born alone and you will die alone. So, make friends with the person you’re going to die with.

5.       Surround yourself with positive people.

Your circle is important. Surround yourself with like-minded people. They will become food for your soul, so feed your soul well.

6.       Music gives us life.

Play the moments, pause the memories, stop the pain and reply the happiness. So go ahead, share a memory!

7.       Start earthing

Take your shoes off and ground your feet into the soil. Connect with nature while reconnecting with yourself.

8.       Mediate

Sounds easy! But, becoming mindful is one of the most difficult things to do. Your mind is either in a constant state of thinking ahead or lagging behind on a past memory. Meditation brings you back the present moment. 

9.       The only thing we know for sure about life is that change is constant.

Regardless of what you believe change is inevitable but progress is optional. The outcome solely depends on you.

10.   Family is forever.

We can not choose our family but we can damn well learn to love them. You can distance yourself or embrace the differences. Choose wisely!

As the great Buddha quoted “ Everything that has a beginning has an end, make your peace with it and all will be well” So cheers to all the lessons learned in 2016. It was a pleasure to survive you!
