The first week with Gilbert has had its ups and downs. Ups have been finding out that he likes peanuts and grapes. Downs have been his escape attempts, rejections of food, destroying his cage multiple times, and still not being able to hold him. I know it could take months to gain his trust. Things just went so much more smoothly with my last hamster that I had higher hopes.
