God reminded Moses that He created him & that He has given him EXACTLY what he needs to be successful. He makes it clear that it’s not about what Moses can/can’t do. It’s about God working in him to accomplish His plan. Yet, in spite of all this, Moses remained stubborn to not do it. He wanted God to find someone else. He may’ve been intimidated by the future, what’s on the next page. As uncomfortable as Moses’ current situation was, he was familiar with it. We often stick to things that are familiar rather than unfamiliar. However, When you choose to stay stuck in the wilderness of the past, it angers God. Yet, God despite His anger, He still had a plan for Moses. His final word to him: Obey Me. You’ve been in the wilderness long enough. You can trust Me. I’ve called you to go. It’s time to turn the page & move forward. When Moses finally set aside his fear & obeyed God, millions of ppl were set free as a result. When you obey God, He uses you to inspire others to that life-giving freedom He has planned for them. I implore you today. Trust God. Turn the page & step into a new chapter. PART 1 #newyear #newpage #jesus #trustthelord New year, new page to turn. But how do we go about doing that. Let’s look at a person who was introduced to new beginnings & second chances: Moses. Moses had been raised as a prince of Egypt but was actually an Israelite. The Israelites were slaves under Egypt’s rule. Moses, out of anger of seeing his brethren mistreated, killed an Egyptian guard. This led to consequences for the Israelites who got angry at Moses. Moses, in shame & fear, ran away to another country. He started a family, became a shepherd, and remained in the wilderness. Then one day, he saw a burning bush. Moses responded to the burning bush. The Lord introduces Himself & tells Moses His intention of delivering His people. He then commands Moses to go to Pharoah & bring His people out of Egypt. Even after Moses screwed up by killing an Egyptian, God was not done with him. God still had plans for him. From this we learn that EVEN IF we r stuck in the wilderness of the past, God STILL HAS A PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE. You would think after hearing such an inspirational message, Moses would sit up and get right to it. Not even close. Moses expressed doubt in himself & in God’s choice. We do the same thing today. When God speaks to us about His plans, we tend to doubt ourselves & experience insecurity. God reminded Moses that’s it’s not about who you are, it’s about Who God is. He tells Moses that he is NOT alone. He is saying you can turn the page because GOD IS WITH YOU. However, Moses still wasn’t convinced. He ended up going back & forth with God (the Audacity). He kept asking what ifs that revealed his fear of rejection. Fear of rejection is a fear we all can relate to. God answered Moses in the form of an object lesson. God had Moses demonstrate the miracle of turning a staff into a snake & turning the snake back into a staff. God can use you to do the supernatural. When you obey God, God’s power is revealed in you.
