Hello hello Danny!!! I don't know if you remember me but I'm the confectionery anon that asked abt your top 5 desserts a while ago (oh my god i sound so fucking pretentious rn im so sorry you had to read that but I didn't know how else I could word it). I was scrolling on tiktok and I saw a recipe abt a traditional Brazilian dessert called Bala Baiana. It basically consists of condensed milk, butter, coconut, in a pan till they form a paste and then you roll the dough into small balls and coat it with caramel (idk why I just dumped the recipe here, as if its important, im sorry again). So essentially its crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. when I saw it is Brazilian I immediately thought of new horizons (obviously).
AND TELL ME WHY, my brain just bombed me with a fluffy cute scenario abt george and max in the kitchen (Monaco or Brazil if they eventually meet again 🥲), trying to make this dessert that Max had tried once during those years in Brazil and loved it. For my own entertainment I imagine them bickering over how to make the caramel correctly and nearly burning the whole kitchen.
This isn't supposed to be, in any way, a suggestion, or me trying to interfere and tell you how to do your work, bc im not that kind of person, please don't take this the wrong way 😭😭. Plus I know that you're taking a break from this fic, which I respect a huge amount. Its just a thought that appeared on my head and I felt like sharing with you bc I think you'll get it.
So yeah, I literally just saw the recipe and my brain made the connections, brazilian dessert, Brazil, New Horizons, gax bickering scenario abt trying to make caramel and failing spectacularly (maybe that's just me projecting though bc making caramel IS MY ARCH NEMESIS, I WANNA KMS EVERYTIME I HAVE TO MAKE IT)
