Oh where oh where have I been?
Well everyone, it has been months since I have done anything with Craft A Picture. You may have noticed how pictures posted have become less and less related to crafts, then less frequent, then nothing at all. I only made it about halfway in the 52 weeks of crafts, due to various needs that as a mother and wife needed to be attended to, life gets busy, and life happens.
Since my last posts I have been a busy woman with a toddler needing my attention, a new job, some stay at home freelance work, a household to take care of, and a marriage to keep healthy. When you are into all that at once, you sort of temporarily forget who you are, numb yourself out, put yourself on hold for a while, including what you may have once been excited about. Since all of this business started my priorities have not been straight. Now, I consider myself a Christian, whom, without God, I don't know what I would do. But notice when I talk about my busyness I don't even mention God? On paper I'm sure it looks good. I talk about God sometimes, go to church, read the bible, but do I really devote the amount of time to him that would ultimately be the most rewarding? I'm sure if I did, time, possibilities, and even my creativity may even come to life again.
Saying that, I am not perfect, and I probably may have times where Craft A Picture may have down times because I'm human and can't put unnecessary pressure on myself, it isn't healthy and I am NOT superwoman. But recently coming to realize some of these things, seeing the strong people that are in our lives thrive, and going to a new church and meeting new people, have all been truly inspiring to us. My motivation for a stronger faith, getting out and meeting new people, and making crafts have started to come back again.
So with all that, I am happy to say that life has taken a new chapter in our lives. With the encouragement from friends and family, and my husband, I will be re-launching the Craft A Picture blog. The site and Etsy shop will stay the same name and site address, but it will be updated and redesigned. This is not going to happen overnight or be rushed, it will take time. But I will do my best to post updates and sneak peaks at new items to get excited about! I will also be using Blogger instead of Tumblr. I am doing research and really like the feel of Blogger better, and I really like the possibilities of customization. Blogs that I respect and love to read are all on Blogger. I don't have much other than brainstorming what I want the feel of my blog and shop to look like, so people know the taste, style, and feel of the shop, without question. What I can tell you is, there will be aqua, there will be mint, there will be light grey, and there will be antique white! Oh, and some really cool looking vintage font too.
If you have made it this far, thank you for reading. I cannot say enough how I appreciate your support for the blog, Facebook, shop, and Twitter. So for now, you'll hear much more, and keep your eyes out! :)
