Classical architectural space, rooted in principles developed over centuries, is indeed deeply intertwined with the laws of nature. These principles often reflect human experiences, cultural values, and an understanding of the physical world. Classical architecture draws heavily from geometry, proportion, and symmetry, all of which resonate with natural patterns and forms. For instance, the use of the golden ratio in classical architecture mirrors the proportions found in nature, from the arrangement of petals in a flower to the spiral of a seashell.

Furthermore, classical architecture often seeks to harmonize with its surroundings, whether it's integrating with the landscape or aligning with celestial phenomena like the path of the sun or the positions of stars. This integration reflects an acknowledgment of humanity's place within the broader cosmos.

If architecture were to defy gravity, it would necessitate a radical reimagining of classical principles. Gravity is not just a force we contend with; it's a fundamental aspect of our experience of space and the built environment. Without gravity, structures would lack stability and orientation as we understand them. Therefore, a new architecture would need to emerge—one that doesn't rely on traditional supports and spatial relationships.

This new architecture would likely draw inspiration from the microgravity environments experienced in space, where traditional notions of up and down lose their meaning. Designers might explore structures that float or orbit, embracing a more fluid and dynamic conception of space. Rather than grounding buildings to the earth, they might anchor them to celestial bodies or design them to move in harmony with cosmic forces.

A modest makeover for an Israeli housing apartment This house is not just a roof over our heads and a lid that will protect us from various dangers. This home is a complex of desires, aspirations, constituents and needs. A home is changing, depending on our lifestyles.

This time, I am presenting a small-to-large project. A project created with change. This is a single family. A parent and a child. Years that are complete. Years that are home. Years with a limited 'Israeli budget', and without too many fantasies or unrealizable dreams. Simple but not simplistic. Yes. On purpose, there is a private balcony adjacent to the bedroom.

Planning renovation and expansion of a house in Kibbutz Ma'anit.

The family home, like many houses in the kibbutzim, has undergone several extensions and additions to construction. These changes in the structure of the house were due to changes in the lifestyle of the kibbutz family.

In the early days of the kibbutz, the house was a small apartment for the parents only, when the children grew up living in the children's homes. Due to social and ideological changes, it was decided in the kibbutz institutions to stop the shared accommodation, And this creates a need to increase and expand the families' homes in favor of adding bedrooms to children, as well as redesigning and organizing the public space, i.e. the living room, dining area and kitchen.

The Esheds are a couple of parents whose children are adults and no longer live at home. The change of the family unit aroused the desire to redesign the interior of the house. Architectural design increased the public area, adding a northeast winter terrace.

Despite the problems of renovating and expanding an existing building, the owners asked to get the feeling that this house was designed solely for them and according to their size.

One of the main demands of my clients was to prevent harm to the neighborhood's character, and to maintain homogeneity in the appearance and character of the facades, despite increasing the area of the house. The guiding principle of renovation was to create one common space, but at the same time define different areas within it, so that each area can function separately, and does not take part of the airspace of another area. This planning was made possible despite the construction limitations of the previous extensions.
