I had been gatekeeping this name from myself because it was the name of one of my OCs, and I thought "that's dumb, you can't name yourself after your OC" well guess what my brain, yes I can. When I played as this OC and my friends called me by his name was the most seen I've ever felt, and that name has always been mine in the first place, so screw you, my brain.

I'm transmasc and being nameless was starting to get really weird, and now I finally have a name that feels like me.

I will be honest I did think of having a completely different name when I started transitioning, but I never found a name that fits me more than max or maxine.

This is the last of a group of remakes of old comics I made a few years back, which I made just slightly before taking hrt for the first time.

I was closeted for six years, in a queer relationship for five of them. My family did not know because they would not have supported me, in fact my home life could have genuinely become dangerous. However, during this time their views slowly started changing because of new friends they made and experiences they had.

Last year I came out to them. And it went better than I ever expected. My parents asked if I had a new name I wanted to go by, use my pronouns, ask what terms I prefer. They ask about my partner and invite them to family events.

Change can take years, but it can happen. You might find support from people you never expected to support you.
