cooking in my new kitchen, and I’m not ashamed to say that I’m using food from a local food bank because we don’t get paid until this upcoming week. hey, they gave us some of the best black beans i’ve had in a while and pita bread! they gave us Camembert of all cheeses. they gave us grapes and plums. support your local food bank, and places like the Salvation Army and Goodwill, especially now with the big fat stupid orange ugly bill having passed and made into law. (my only complaint is that the oven gets ridiculously hot: I had it turned to 425°, the temperature you use to roast vegetables, chicken, and beef, and it felt like I had the broiler on 😅)
