I was today old when I learned about Big3 basketball. It was founded a few years ago by Ice-Cube and its exactly what it sounds like, three on three mens basketball. The players and coaches seem to be pretty much all former NBA talent, and its a traveling league where all the teams play on the same day at the same venue. I used to love watching hoops - but after I gave up ESPN and the local sports channel in favor of streaming, it got too complicated to find games on TV, so I stopped. But this sounds interesting, and I'm going to check it out.
Whats even more cool is the way I found out about this. I am in training to become a volunteer LTC Ombudsman - a patient advocate for people in assisted living and nursing homes. Today, I had my first "shadowing" visit, following an experienced person around a health care facility- and one of the people I met told us that his grandson was a former NBA player who was now playing in the Big3.
How cool is that?

Yesterday was the first day of my bike riding lesson. As a kid, I never learnt to ride a bike because my parents couldn’t afford to buy one when I was younger, I’m not athletic, our home is next to a highway, and so on. But, since hubby’s birthday is coming up so he gifted me w/ a brand new bike together w/ his confidence in me that I will learn. Kuyawan man sad ta ani.
