Never Sleep

At first, I thought that sleeping was a loss of time and energy.

Young, I was thinking that sleeping was equal to losing.

So I started to fight sleep.

I spent my nights doing anything but sleeping.

But during the day, sleep came to me often.

Sleeping during the day is different.

It feels better.

Maybe it's because the night is, in itself, better than day.

One day, I was older.

I was awake.

I was with Molly.

She really was a beauty.

It felt like sleeping.

I was awake.

It felt like dreaming.

Now, even during the day, I can't sleep.

And the sound in the background drowns me.

It fills me with nothingness.

Kind of like meditating.

Kind of like sleeping.

But I can't sleep.

I can never drown it out

I wish that I could scream right now

I was lost, with my head in the clouds
