I love taking a few supplies to a cafe and doing a thorough art session with friends - here's a spread from earlier this year, drawn by putting down flats first with crayola markers, and then layering neocolor ii crayons overtop.

Drawn without water, on a 6 x 9″ grey blue cardstock, I think Strathmore brand. Drawn from life, from a lovely birthday bouquet.

Still figuring out neocolor 2 pastels but did this little wintery sketch. I like how it forces me to not do detail. Also learned to not use pencil to lay things out unless I want to do many many layers
