It is estimated that up to 90% of the Nenet population was wiped out during the 1950s in the Soviet Union. The Nenets, who are an indigenous people in Siberia, were targeted by Stalin's government for their traditional way of life as reindeer herders and their resistance to collectivization.
Many Nenets were forcibly moved into collective farms and their reindeer herds were taken away from them. This led to a loss of their main source of food and livelihood, and many died from starvation or disease.
In addition to this, there were also forced resettlements and deportations that further decimated the Nenet population. The harsh living conditions in these new areas often led to a high mortality rate.
Overall, it is difficult to determine an exact percentage of how many Nenets perished during this time period as accurate records were not kept. However, it is widely accepted that the impact on their population was significant and devastating.
Got any Magni and Modi interactions with the other future au kids (Bruce, Nenet, Lars, Dorado, etc.)?
Despite their true age being older than many of these younger gods and new cretins they were forced to accept, Magni and Modi always looked to be in their early twenties. It certain made for interesting conversation. "Those are Thor's sons?" Lars asked, bewildered. Bergljot nodded.
"Magni. Modi." She nodded to them, respectively, and sniffed. She didn't smell trouble but if they were here it could only mean a handful of things. She walked up to them. "To what do we owe the 'pleasure' of meeting with Thor's sons?"
Modi scoffed and rolled his eyes, but Magni spoke first. "Father's sent us in his stead to test your mettle. He warned us you were tough, but if Thrud can knock you on your ass you must not be that strong." Lars mimicked Modi with his own scoff and roll of his eyes.
"He also warned us about your new pet. That Mewman prince over there." Modi slung his hammer over his shoulders and grinned at Lars. "Fancy a go with us too, wretch? I'm sure Queen Nia wouldn't be upset if we at least sparred. Don't worry, we won't kill you."
Lars stared at him dumbfounded for just a moment before a wide grin spread across his face. "I'm gonna enjoy knocking the shit outta you two."

Bruce didn't particularly care for the most prideful of the Norse Pantheon. They were rude, they caused problems, and worst of all-
"Ah, the Queen Mother's son. Care for a drink, friend?"
They saw him as a friend. Bruce sighed and shook his head. "I'm still not old enough to drink, Modi." The younger brother was quite persistent, however.
"Nonsense! Any God who walks Tartarus and lives to tell the tale is worthy to drink with the Sons of Thor! Come, we have ale and mead from the kegs of Valhalla."
"Don't waste his time with that swill." Oh, thank the Gods Magni tried talking some sense into his brother! "Give him a cup of father's mead, it's far stronger and goes down far smoother."
~~
"You are without a doubt the single most disgusting creature I've ever come across."
"Oh yeah, Mowgli? If I'm so disgusting why don't you say it to my face!"
"I just did, you little wretch." Modi leaned forward and smirked. "But I'll say it again, 'cause it makes me smile. You're without a doubt-" Nenet punched in as hard as she could, causing him to recoil.
"Nenet! Was that truly necessary?" Not that Ash hadn't thought about doing it after the way Modi had been talking to her. But they were still on Avalon, a place of peace between the dimensions.
