Hello! I hope you're having a nice day 🥰. I wanted to know if you could help me about something. I was reading your tutorial about specular maps. But I want to make one for my clothes that don't produce any shine >°<. Could you please tell me how! If you can't that's ok, thank you for reading 😌.
Hello! Hope you too 😊
UPD: check the replies!
Old method:
Same steps from my tutorial, but spec map is filled with black color (#000000 color code). Alpha channel too (already filled with black color).
Like this:
From my specular maps tutorial:"Note: If you want to make your specular map without any shines you need to save your mask map as DXT1 and spec map as DXT5."
You also can just import blank specular map by DallasGirl (they're attached inside tutorial), but any speculars from tights, gloves, and so on can overlap your clothes without proper mask map and it doesn't look good. However, for accessories, the method is generally working, because they have a separate place on the UV (except for gloves, socks and tights).
For example. First dress has proper mask map, the second - doesn't. As you can see, the shine from tights overlap second dress and it looks bad.
Hope it'll helps!
