continuing from this!
It catches him off guard, to say the least. He’s heard all kinds of things about Spider-Man, whether it’s from the newspaper he works for or people on the street, but it isn’t often that someone approaches him to sing their praises or voice their objections for what he does. He’s usually not all that easy to get close to, considering his habit of swinging from building to building while he’s masked, but tonight he perched himself on the top of an apartment building and was staring out at the city. He supposes it’s not a surprise that someone’s come out here with the same idea he has, but he still hadn’t been expecting it. Maybe it wouldn’t be so strange if she’d made herself known before the quiet compliment, but somehow it seems much nicer this way. ”—Thanks. You, too.”
Oh my, how should she continue this conversation? The words he had just heard escaped from her mouth with no further notice, it just...happened? It is quite usual for the redhead to say such strange things, but unlike this time she mumbles the words to herself --- but this isn't a normal situation, Spider-Man (the actual Spider-Man, not a random cosplayer from Comic-Con) is right here, in her roof! Now that the sudden excitement is gone, she starts realizing how creepy her words and attitude may have sounded for the other.
"Uh------- y-you're welcome?" She answers shyly, arms quickly folding around her chest, her brown gaze quickly stares at the floor even though she cannot see his real eyes -- but something is telling her Spider-Man is actually staring at her right now. "I, uh -- I'll leave you alone. I g-gue-guess you're doing hero things now, so --- "
