  You leaned down to kiss him. No tongue, just a peck. When you pulled away, Xiaojun had hearts in his eyes. You’ve always wanted to ask him why he didn’t just get a girlfriend who he could feed and fuck. He was a very attractive man, with a heart of gold. He didn’t have to be alone.   You looked at your feet before looking down the street for the car. It should have been there by now. You inspected the area. People were going in and out of cars, some rushing to get inside buildings and out of the heat of the sun. No one was stopping to watch life, no one caring about anything other than their own busy lives. You kept searching and searching for some sign that life could slow down, and that’s when you saw him: Hendery.

 “What the fuck.” you whispered.

  Hendery was standing across the street. He was watching you with Xiaojun. He looked like his heart was being torn in two in real time, the agony on his face displayed for all of the pedestrians.. Before you could make a move, he was leaving the area.

  Hendery picked up. You were getting ready to berate him for a long list of things until you heard him moan into the phone. You stopped, not caring to notice if people were walking behind you. You listened to Hendery moan. You could hear a wet squelching sound, along with the indication that a car door was open.

“Hendery.” you said, your voice firm.

“I haven’t done this in a long time. I’m imagining it’s your hands.” he breathed. You could hear him suck in little breaths, a slight whine coming out of his throat. His breathing was getting heavier.

“You’re in the car.”

“Yes,” he said. “In broad daylight.”

“You could get into trouble.”

“I don’t care.”
