I just got reminded that a movie exists that my nesting partner introduced me to that I think is fabulous.
The movie is called To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar and I just love it so much. Definitely gotta watch it again soon.
If you want to see a couple of the big name action stars of the 90s in drag and slaying it, this is a great movie.
Introducing my queer platonic soulmate partner person to Stargate with the original movie and remembering Kurt Russell does not look good with the hair cut he got for this movie.
Like I’m sorry he’s a very pretty person normally, this hair cut just did not work for him. I also love that my soulmates are also best friends and we can watch this together in honor of my grandma who recently passed and introduced me to the Stargate world.
Hey so y’all can call me NCQ or maybe I’ll end up with another nickname over my time here.
To make things clear: ACAB, fuck ICE, fuck the entire system that made Epstein island and every crime in the files and the court cases that put him and Maxwell away possible.

Please note these posts are mostly unserious I just don’t want people I know irl to see them.
So I recently watched Alyssa Grenfell’s YouTube video about Heavenly Mother in the LDS Church. And well yes the ex Mormon subreddit is a thing, it’s mostly male centered so bringing this up might not get much conversation. And what I want is a conversation, ideas, theories. Because watching that I couldn’t help thinking how if they actually talked about her the church could totally use her to keep women in the church by incorporating her into the Activity Days, Young Women’s, and Relief Society programs that the church has already for the girls and women in the church. Imagine if they actually incorporated her, if they wove her more into the religion, what that could’ve looked like. Anyway I just like thinking about things like this when my brain decides to function correctly.
Video linked so y’all can watch as well

Listening to the audiobook for The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes, first time listening to the book, plan to also read later when that’s available to me.
Anyways Coriolanus Snow is a whiny entitled asshole and the movie did not do anywhere close to any justice to how selfish this guy is. They really need to find a way to express the thoughts that are expressed in the books in movie format but that’s definitely a lot harder with movies.
Also if you’re ex mormon and have seen the theory that the capitol is Utah and Snow is a descendant of the early prophet of the Mormon church, idk for me it makes it so much funnier some of the things he thinks about more religious types of beliefs.

So I recently actually sat and counted how many actual full school years I had in public school (the partial years add up and make another year and a half) but full years in public school was only 4 actual public school years and one online school year. The last partial year was 9th grade, it was off and on between 2nd-9th.
The rest of the time before I was a teenager it was a rule that I had to check out an equal amount of nonfiction books at the library as I did fiction books, and apparently the homemaking stuff I was learning through the church’s Young Women’s program, and watching any documentaries on tv with mom when they were on. I didn’t even have to read the nonfiction books technically, and freaking books on how to make jokes counted! (Yes I absolutely needed/need them, but there were no signs!/s)
Never quizzed on anything, just pick books at library, get them approved or disapproved by my parents, read what I actually wanted to read, return them, repeat.
When I was a teenager that rule still applied (minus the parental authorization check before checking out library books) but then it was being left with a device (tablet or laptop) unsupervised and being able to walk to the library by myself and entirely choose my own books.
Oh and lots of PBS, PBSkids, and living in a city where literally the only field trips (in the elementary years) were to a pet store with a petting zoo in the back, the big library in old town, and I think once the actual zoo. Oh wait and I think maybe to the museum in another town when the big trex fossils were there? Maybe? Memory is vague and foggy and kinda dark toned around that so maybe was a dream? Or family one? Anyway small before 7… idk but
So yea that’s what I can think of for my education and that’s kinda sad. So I’m going to use the very nice binder I got for 7th grade and still have and turn it into this thing I found called a commonplace book this and the below link are to the video that taught me about this, and since I’m trying to get back into learning again I figured I’d try this and see how it works out for me and a binder is great since I can move pages as needed to make it organized.
