As I awoke on the morning of June 18th, 2019, and stepped from my tent on the Serengeti, I saw giraffe silhouetted against the most magnificent sunrise I'd ever witnessed, and 2 hot air balloons in the distance.  I admired it and then ran back through the zippered door to grab my camera. Perhaps I should take a lesson from this...don't leave the tent without the camera!  Of all the animals I saw in Africa, I'd have to say that the giraffe is the most striking against the backdrop of sky - truly breathtaking and awe-inspiring.
