Biharās IndigenousĀ TikuliĀ Art!
If Madhubani and PatnaĀ KalamĀ had to have a baby, it would look likeĀ TikuliĀ art! Biharās indigenous art form that dates back about 800 years and borrows itsĀ proportional figures from PatnaĀ Kalam, andĀ its themes of daily life andĀ celebrating festivals from Madhubani, has been reinstated in the commercial mainstream of indigenous art forms, and in doing so, has provided sustainable livelihood to thousands of women.Ā https://www.indiaartndesign.com/bihars-indigenous-tikuli-art/

I created this account to create a space that Iāve always felt like I needed. I first made my Instagram art account as a way to post work without being associated with it. Itās grown to become a part of me and everyone knows itās me now which causes me a lot of stress because I just want a diary space for my work. I do want people to interact with me and my work but I just donāt need people knowing who It is in person. I like my work being free of me...so here it is, another attempt to post the stuff I make that makes me happy <3
I am trying to think of a way in which I can attach the above tiny weaving to a backdrop and whether it would look better on a fabric or paper backdrop. I think it will need a box frame. I have 6 different pieces to sort. Ideas?
