The way Frank can look small and like a kicked puppy while being one of the tallest people in the ER. He's like a Great Dane (with blue eyes, obviously). He's just a teeny tiny puppy. He's Robby's lap dog. He wants to be carried like one. He wants to be back on that lap.
I'm such a big supporter of Robby being deeply in love and cherishing Frank.
Robby checking in on Frank during shifts, and especially during shifts when they do not work together. To know how the shift is going, to know that Frank is doing okay. Wanting to hear his voice when they're apart.
Frank doing something silly (for example, wanting to make a snow angel, or participate in a snowball fight) whilst Robby would want to stay away at any cost, but, instead, he can barely push down a smile. Hell, maybe he watches Frank laughing and goofing around and goes, "Oh, screw it." And joins him and they both get to feel so much joy, as if they're kids again and everything is a wonder.
Frank doing a regular thing, something as simple as brewing coffee in the morning, and Robby looks at him with such adoration and tenderness, anyone could have guessed that something is going on between them—given the glimpse of the way Robby just quietly leans on the doorway and watches Frank.
Robby being the one who watches Frank sleep. Even though he gets to do so over and over, he still can't get enough.
Robby being the one who starts nuzzling up to Frank first, murmuring, waking him up gently.
Robby initiating morning kisses and cuddles.
Robby wanting to take Frank out, give him gifts.
Robby wanting to walk alongside with Frank for hours, holding his hand.
Robby initiating the first kiss on that bridge and then setting the picture of the bridge as Frank's contact photo. "Langdon" and the photo of the bridge, no one from work would suspect anything. But then it's so sentimental and only he and Frank get to share the knowledge of what it actually means.
Do you see my vision?
Frank hearing "Nice job", barely registering Abbot's "Brass balls, buddy" because he's still processing Robby's praise (and looking like he's hard), excusing himself and... going straight to the restroom.
Dana giving Frank a hug and we see that on screen. Dana reassuring Frank that it's all going to be okay. "don't fucking mind Robby, he's not himself. you two are gonna be alright." (And Frank going, sad and bitter, "Oh, that is VERY much a Robby thing to do." And Dana going, "You don't know him like I do. You're gonna be alright, just you wait.")
And honesty, not even making it about Robby... "You're doing good, kid. I'm proud of ya."
Either way, Dana giving Frank a hug on screen. And Frank being stiff and awkward at first, but then relaxing and melting into that hug. Hugging Dana tighter and tighter, being oh SO grateful.
That's his mom. That's his work mom that loves him. And he loves and respects her back just as much.

Frank yearning, wanting to hug Robby, wanting to feel his touch, wanting to be in his arms that pull him closer. Instead, he has to pretend like he's okay with Robby giving him the cold shoulder. With Robby asking—almost emotionlesslly—how Frank's weekend went, like they haven't used to spent their days off together, sleeping in at Robby's, cuddling in the morning. Like Robby wasn't invested in his life and his well-being before Robby broke up with him.
Frank yearning for what used to be. Although wounded by everything Robby has said and done to him, still deeply in love with Robby. Hoping that maybe one day they will get back together.
(And the worst thing? It's mutual. But neither knows about that. So they keep on hurting each other by pretending that it's fine.)
What if Robby learns about the severity of Langdon's back pain when they fuck, and perhaps even for the first time (when Frank is oh so eager to make Robby feel good while also enjoying himself), and it's face to face too? When Frank winces, "Robby, I— I can't. Fuck. Stop. Aughh—"
And it's a flash of pain and it scares the hell out of Robby?
All they need to do is chance the position and wait a bit but a) would Robby be able to continue? even if he would, I feel like he'd treat Langdon with care, very gently (and Langdon can be a brat after some time because he's sick of Robby being overly cautious: "I'm not gonna melt or break if you fuck me hard" b) Robby never, ever forgets that painful expression on Frank's face and the involuntary shaking/movement, perhaps even collapsing backwards/to the side?
Something along those lines. And then, fast forward a couple of years, Robby learns Frank developed a addiction to pain killers and benzos. And the torment of "Why didn't he come to me?" hits harder Robby SO hard.
something something, Frank losing interest to Abby, being indifferent to her touch, sometimes even repulsed. it only gets worse with time, so that, eventually, Abby stops trying.
however, Frank coming too fast when Robby touches him after they haven't had sex (or Robby haven't touched him) in a while (or even for the first time, after fantasizing about Robby for so long so that his touch is almost painful, gets Frank too excited too quickly).
