pls hang in there while I finish fixing up the video part of this work! Had some weirdo trouble uploading, so i gotta fiddle with things before I get that up and can really spill my thoughts on this project and the whole semester.

And here are the two iterations I produced from those images which will lead into linoleum prints. The one on the bottom reveals more of the motif and activates more of the negative space present in the first (top) image. It also obfuscates the portraiture, which is interesting territory to head into. However, I feel it’s maybe a little too busy or cluttered and might find an in between, as I don’t want to remove too much information from the initial plate. Also, I have little intuition when it comes to mark-making on linoleum, so i just want to be careful not to fuck up too bad at the outset.
Yes so here is this thing, complete. I call it, Maniac just an idea really, some kind of exercise. glazed and unglazed terracotta with slips, fired to cone 1. Roughly 16 inches tall and 13 inches in diameter.
