Oscar upsets, Classic Hollywood edition. It’s hard to imagine that these celebrated stars never got an Academy Award. Some of them (Kim and Marilyn) were never nominated. Which Oscar omission do you find more upsetting? Even if it’s not featured here. #nataliewood #gretagarbo #dorothydandridge #avagardner #kimnovak #barbarastanwyck #marilynmonroe #thelmaritter #deborahkerr https://www.instagram.com/p/Cpp3kEDo6Y-/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
What if all you had to do was just believe? What if all it took was two simple words to start making all your dreams come to life? “I believe.” Little Natalie Wood, near the ending of “Miracle on 34th Street,” chants this over and over again, lullabying herself through disappointment. The court case against Santa Claus has been won, and although she believes him to be as he says, the clinching proof of him providing her present has not been fulfilled. From the back seat of the car she continues to repeat: “I believe. I believe. I believe.” As her head even begins to sway with her chant, we start to see her conviction and so much more growing stronger. With the magic of great writing, acting and cinematography, her character’s final wish appears in a way she could have never imagined. And in that shortest of instants, although most of us might not admit it, we believe too! So, what if all it took was just believing? Really believing with intent, energy, action and a true understanding of your connection to the Divine that is inside of you. The possibility, the energy and the abundance is all around! So, do you believe? 💚Julie https://www.instagram.com/p/CmUXO6JurZ7/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
