it's not that she never leaves the wexley penthouse, but it had decreased exponentially since the lock down occurred. the only reason to leave her rooms was to go out, and that had ended. there had been plenty of time to build herself a sanctuary. but that didn't mean that she never left, especially not now that toby was in the midst of his own journey. it gave her just enough space to wander a lower floor, aimless except for a strand of thought to visit the author-in-residence.
at least until there's a stranger who also happens to be caught out. someone else to talk to that didn't simply share a last name would do for the desperate in this occasion. "hi— sorry, are you, have you been a resident here?"
