they kinda hate each other okay, always have

but it just works

they started out after the jabberwock vs vorpal swords, Akashi visited America and coincidentally saw Nash

and idk they got to talking, mainly because Akashi's pissed about what happened still

but they got to really talking and Nash starts to open up and Akashi realizes that he's kinda in a similar situation with Nash abt family n stuff

so they bond over trauma basically

and eventually they realize that they enjoy each others company and then BOOM they're dating

NO ONE knows

not the gom, not jabberwock, no one

they talk sometimes on phone and talk as if they're fighting, so the gom is a little confused on who akashis angry at all the time

(Kuroko has a little idea that akashis dating someone but thats it)

but really it's just their love language

and they're both VERY competitive

in everything Lord god

dont get me wrong tho, Akashi rarely loses nevertheless 😌

but as I said, they kinda have a love-hate relationship with each other even during them dating

like them together as a relationship I would think would bring out their "tough love" side iykwim

Akashi will 100% bring up the Jabberwock vs Vorpal Swords match in an argument

Nash always loses arguments as a result

gets lovey dovey but only in private, Nash loves to spoil Akashi with cuddles and kisses

their relationship is not secret exactly but it's private definitely

like Nash will say that hes dating someone but won't say anything else

Akashi does the same, except sometimes he can't help himself but brag about his bf (without revealing who it is)

but basically no one knows cuz no one asks either

hc that Nash's parents are homophobic (though neglectful anyways) so he never mentions gender with them

Akashi helps him through with that

Akashi is the cook in the relationship btw lmfao

Masaomi has no idea

they talk to each other in English

(lets say Nash actually speaks fluently and without an accent)

Akashi has a little bit of an accent still and sometimes Nash teaches Akashi like slang and stuff

Akashi, in turn, teaches Nash Japanese

he knows basics but thats about it and hopes that eventually he'll be fluent
