nasahubble:  Just a few weeks after astronauts finished working on Hubble in late December 1999, the telescope captured this picture of NGC 1999, a nebula lit up by the bright star V380 Orionis. What was once thought to be a dense cloud blocking all of the light behind it, the dark T-shaped region near the star is actually a hole in the nebula.
