Saw an entry on TV Tropes describing the Narnian creatures as "fae," which is funny because I was re-reading The Discarded Image for research and C.S. Lewis takes a moment to talk about how he's averse to using the term "fairy" due to how it's now associated with Victorian images of cute, little people with wings which he feels cheapens the image. In the actual book/lecture he used the term "longaevi" (long-livers).
It does seem notable to me that the only time the word "fairy" is used, it's by Uncle Andrew and Digory when discussing Andrew's godmother (and there it's unavoidable because the two are British and that was just the common terminology for their time period regarding magical creatures).
Currently rereading The Horse and His Boy for a project, and I can't help but be fascinated by some of the world-building for Calormen, Telmar, Archenland and Narnia. Because Narnia is not the planet, it's a country on the unnamed world. Which means Aslan is heavily invested in the geopolitical state of one part of his world, not the world itself.
What does it mean to not be God's favorite? Archenland is friendly to Narnia and shown as morally upright, and (seemingly as a consequence) is well-off and thriving, but Telmar and Calormen both tried to conquer Narnia and were rebuffed, and they've been left in the dust. Both have their societal problems, for sure, but I can't help but wonder if they thought it terribly unfair that Aslan was the god of Narnia, and not of them, too.
I also can't help but wonder if Telmar and Calormen ever fought. Telmar conquered Narnia in the 13 centuries after the golden age; did the desert or the Calormenes stop them?

Their tunics were of fine, bright, hardy colors – woodland green, or gay yellow, or fresh blue.

And they were not dressed like men of Calormen.

The Pevensie’s Favorite Games
Peter loved to play capture the flag when there was nice weather, but he wasn’t opposed to breaking a few decorations inside when it wasn’t. The teams were usually just 2 vs 2 but sometimes(not usually) they were able to convince some of the Narnians to join. They stopped inviting Oreius to play when he would come into the game with full out battle strategies that weren’t safe in the slightest. However, the Beavers still joined every once and a while and Tumnus did too on occasion. Susan was the best with coming up with effective, quick plans, and no matter how much Peter denies it he tries to pick her first every time.
Susan likes Pictionary because she always goes through encyclopedias before the game to find words that will be amusing to watch her siblings try and draw. However, she has to admit that charades became a quick second favorite after they tried to act out the rather easy word backflip..which was a complete fail by the way and it resulted in Peter getting a broken arm, but he got over it(eventually).
Edmund’s favorite game is Sorry. I’ll leave it at that… okay okay his actual favorite game is battleship he dominates that game. He makes everyone play a tournament and has never failed to win…I mean Lucy won once but he refuses to acknowledge that because he “let her win”. His strategy always changes and no one can keep up, but they indulge his love of the game every once in a while.
Lucy never grew out of her love for hide and seek…as it turns out, discovering Narnia during a game only fuels your love for it. She grew even more fond of the game when one of her Narnian friends introduced her and her siblings to other versions of it. Hide and Go seek tag was extra thrilling when your also trying to hide from the staff or the other nobles. The top hiding time was awarded to Edmund when he hide inside a suit of armor for hours and there are still rumors of a ghost knight that ran through the castle terrifying everyone in it’s way.
