I’ve recently been diving deep into Naranjo’s enneagrams, so I decided to draw my own tritype. The designs for SP9 and SO4 were inspired by @MAT[R]IX ✮ THE sx8 glazer's style on TikTok.

ღ symbol means less common and the existence is debatable
However, just because an mbti isn't listed under a specific enneagram subtype, doesn't mean the combination is impossible. Correlations are extrmely subjective depending on which author you trust. For example, Naranjo's description of the subtypes is quite specific with little room for ambiguity, so only a few mbti types fit.
if you are curious if a certain correlation exists, it is better to evaulate the mbti and enneagram type separately
I will list the correlations based on Naranjo's description. This is my take so it may be inaccurate
I don't recommend typing by correlation but knowing the patterns is helpful

Sp1 mbti archetype is ISTJ/ISFJ: Sp1 pretty much is an archetypical Te user if you read the book. Dismissing feelings, priotizing stabiltiy, efficiency, objectivity, etc. People think Sp1 is ISTJ purely because of stereotypes of being a less aggressive workaholic.
So6 archetype is ISTJ: one of the biggest misconceptions that I used to believe in was that So6 archetype was ISTJ. I now realized that it was purely based on stereotypes. On the surface, a type who can become dogmatic and attaches to a set of beliefs to feel secure seems like Si-Te, but this type is heavily abstract, even disconnected from its body and sensations (archetypically). This often makes So6 get mistyped as So5s.
e5 archetype is INTP. Actually, e5s have a more abstract view of the world, unlike 6s who view the world through objectivity and logical consistency. e5s embody the irrational functon IN/Ni more, and their Se inferior lies in the desire to not live in the present fully and withdraw from the physical world.
Sp7 archetype is ESTP: I actually don't believe in the existence of Se dom e7. Now, people will chew me out for being a hyper-strict correlationist, but the thing is, the core trait of the e7 is lacking in realism and not being grounded to reality, which contradicts Se, a function that percieves reality as it is. All the types suffer from the need to fantasize and seek a world that is not the current reality, to formulate plans and ideals to escape pain and frustrations. While Sp7 certainly is a more anti-idealistic and dry type, it still is an Ne dom, as it actively seeks for opportunities and possibilities.
So7 archetype is ENFP: when we think of a type that is highly agreeable, altrusitic, and witty, we think of IEE ENFP, but the truth is, the So7 is highly disconnected from their own feelings and is a much more rational type, which fits ENTP and Fi PoLR than ENFP.
Sp9 archetype is ISTP: overall, the Sp9 behavior aligns more with Si than Ti. We like to think that ISTJ is not the archetype because ISTJs = hardworking and dutiful, while the Sp9 is often depicted as being lazy. The Sp9's neurosis surrounds being attached to comfort, routines, lifestyle, and being hesitant with too much change (hence psychological inertia), which fits much better with Si than Ti,
*ೃ༄Combinations that are often mistyped (though not always impossible.ೃ࿐
ENTJ e8 -> ENTJ Sx1, ENTJ So3, ENTJ Sx6
Explanation: Most of the "ENTJs want to control the environment" aligns more with Sx1's desire to reform imperfection than the lust of the e8. e8s are also generally less inquisitve and care less about symbolism, abstractionism, etc, which makes aux Ni. a type difficult to be e8.
Examples: Stalin (ENTJ Sp8 -> Sx6), Napoleon (ENTJ So8 -> So3), Gordon Ramsey (ESTJ Sx8 -> Sx1)
IxFP e1 -> IxFP Sp4 (or Sx4)
Explanation: Sp4s often feel the need to aim for righteousness and perfectionism. They may feel a need to be morally good, but lack the anger sin that makes up the e1
Examples: Zuko (ISFP Sp1 -> Sx4), Elsa (INFJ Sp1 -> Sp4)
ExTJ Sx3 -> ExFx Sx2
Explanation: Sx3 is generally an archetypical Fe user. I've seen many people who are interested in one-on-one relationships and also desire success to be typed as Sx3. Sx3 is a very chamelonic, accomodating, and actively insecure type, which often goes against these characters
Examples: Regina George (ESTJ Sx3 -> ESFJ So2), Mother Gothel (ESTJ Sx3 -> ESFJ Sx2)
ExFP e3 -> ExFP Sx4, Sx8, or Sx2
Explanation: ambitious ExFPs are often typed as this. I will say, vanity usually goes against Fi as a whole as vanity is a disconnection with one's true identity and emotions.
Examples: Syndrome (ENFP So3 -> Sx4), Naruto (ESFP So3 -> Sx8), Achilles (song of achilles) (ESFP Sx3 -> So8)
INTJ e4 -> INTJ Sx5
Explanation: Sx5 is a much more emotional subtype than regular 5s, so INTJs who believe they are more in tune with their emotions often type themselves as this. I'd say most of the time the e4 is a higher feeler mbti type
EnxP So6 -> ENxP So7
Explanation: this is what happens when you type instinctual variant separately from the enneagram type. So6 is a very rigid, rule-oriented, type, contradictory to Ne doms. Oftentimes Ne doms who are percieved as being more responsible are typed as this. I believe these types are social 7s, who act anti indulgent but are still gluttons
Examples: Peter Parker (ENFP So6 -> So7), Phoniex Wright (ENTP So6 -> So7)
ISTP Sp8 -> ISTP Sx6 or ISFP Sx4
Explanation: Just because someone is a quiet badass, doesn't mean they are a ISTP Sp8. This combination is possible, in my opinion, but often mistyped
Examples: Darth Maul (ISTP Sp8 -> ISFP Sx4), Megara (ISTP 8w9 -> Sx6)
ExFP So8 -> xxFP Sx4/Sx2
Explanation: a lot of the passionate, strong, and direct ExFP characters get typed as 8s due do their assertive nature. However, it is important to evaluate the character's core desires before typing based on behaviors. ESFP 8 is obviously a very common type, but it is often mistyped too.
Examples: Jasmine (ESFP So8 -> ISFP Sx4)
Okay I wrote this out in the tags of another post but I actually want to talk about it because I’m autistic and want to rant about my special interest…
I think strict correlationists are stupid. There. I said it. ESPECIALLY when it comes to people who believe Naranjos word is holy and 100% true, even Beatrice Chestnut correlationists are pushing it (yes, I’ve read her book.). There are UNLIMITED possibilities and even according to Naranjo himself, enneagram is partially based on your childhood traumas while your cognitive functions are not. I’m an ENTP, and while I struggled to find my enneagram for a long time because of correlations I came to the conclusion I’m a core 6 (sx6 or so6), although I mistyped as a sx3 for a while which is still highly debated as it is by correlationists simply because I’m still in school and I’m very driven by academic validation from my teachers, especially in university courses.
All enneagrams should be possible, just rarer or more common. An infp e8 would definitely be a sight to see but it’s not impossible, maybe just 1 in a thousand. Personally, if it weren’t for my childhood trauma and intense abandonment issues that stemmed from my loneliness/bullying and NEED to be safe and secure thanks to the abuse I endured, I probably would’ve been the ENTP archetype as an e7. Not to mention I also have OCD which Naranjo HIMSELF states has a correlation to e6.
Cognitive functions definitely have an influence on your enneagram but that’s only part of a large system and I think everyone really needs to open their brains up and take a second to consider more possibilities and add on to the idea because ideas, especially pseudosciences are meant to be built on to become more secure.
FAUN - Typology system by cindercury
heyyyy so i made my own typology system purely for fun and i felt like sharing it online in case anyone else likes it, its pretty simple!
it works similar to big 5 (sloan) in a way, you have four letter slots each with two-four options. you choose the one you relate to more and once youre done add numbers to define how strongly they manifest in you.
1st: fluidity vs rigidity (F/R)
fluidity, or F, manifests in fluid opinions and ideals that seem to change often and lack a solid ground. people typed with F also tend to often lack confidence in their beliefs.
rigidity, or R, manifests in solid opinions and ideals that rarely or never change. people typed with R are usually very confident in their opinions and beliefs and do not change them under any pressure, they tend to be stubborn but also grounded.
2nd: ascent vs decadence (A/D)
(also known as virtue vs sin | V/S)
ascent (/virtue), or A (/V), manifests in a tendency to subconsciously uplift others very easily through any actions. they prioritize the betterment of their surroundings with the intent of making other people more comfortable and happy. virtue is the conscious equivalent of ascent, if one changes their actions out of the intent of ascent, they count as virtue.
decadence (/sin), or D (/S), manifests in a tendency to subconsciously bring others down with them when they feel bad. Ds tend to be emotionally unavailable or unstable, usually being destructive or unpleasant in social scenarios. sin is the conscious equivalent of decadence, manifesting in a conscious desire for causing damage to others and wreaking havoc, usually for selfish reasons. however unfortunately i must say i doubt most people who at their core are sin are self aware enough to type themselves as such. try to refrain from assigning sin to anyone when vibetyping them to their face as it is in my opinion the most destructive out of all the types, so calling someone sin would generally in context be considered an insult on their character. i do not believe sin are inherently awful people however i believe those who consider sin/decadence to be their chord (read below) are generally very dangerous and toxic.
3rd: utilitarian vs indifferent (U/I)
utilitarian, or U, manifests in prioritizing to change ones behavior when interacting with others specifically out of the intent to comfort them or please them. this can be due to a desire for being adored or viewed as a good person, and is not related to the opinions a person actually has. Us can be F as well as R, for an example F maybe meaning their change of opinions is genuine while R could mean their change of opinions is merely a mask to seem better in the eyes of others.
indifferent, or I, manifests in a prioritizing to stay factual or in control of a situation or scenario. I tends to lack care for what other people think or feel because of their opinions and keep their eyes on factuality. they prefer objectivity over subjectivity and tend to prefer leader roles out of a desire to prevent subjectivity and emotion-based arguments ruining a perfect environment. F indifferents could be people who change their opinions frequently whenever new facts are presented to them and prioritize staying up to date, while R indifferents may make their opinions once based on what they saw and tend not to care for the subject further.
4th: non-indulgent vs materialistic (N/M)
non-indulgent, or N, manifests in being easy to satisfy or please with just little, and a lack of desire for an overflow of material pleasures, intimate connections, obsessions, etc. these people tend to for example latch onto only one or two people specifically, or only a few interests.
materialistic, or M, manifests in a desire for an overflow of materialistic pleasures. they tend to be hard to please and are satisfied by owning a lot of items, obsessing over a lot of media, etc. they are sometimes escapists, searching for the pleasure they cannot find elsewhere in gifts and trinketries. materialistic can also be replaced with the term maximalist.
N/M have "true negative" types as well: temperance (T) and gluttony (G)
they are essentially the same as their normal types, except to a maximal extent. temperance are satisfied with absolutely nothing; they do not require a single person, object, obsession, etc to be satisfied. gluttony are unable to be satisfied no matter how much they indulge in material pleasures. they cannot be satiated by any means and keep searching for ways to even slightly get close to satisfaction.
summing it up: (CHOOSE ONE PER SLOT)
1st: F | R
2nd: A/V | D/S
3rd: U | I
4th: N/T | M/G
for example my flute: FDUG
now that you have your flute, lets move on to notes!
notes
once you have your typing, you will add four letters at the end, determining the hierarchy of your types. for example XXXX4231 would imply you relate most to your fourth type, then your second type, then your third, and you relate the least to your first type. the position of your number determines that types position in the hierarchy.
the type that is first in your hierarchy is called your chord. chords are essentially the equivalent of enneagram subtypes. examples are F1, V1, G1, etc.
and thats all!!!!
closing
lastly i want to make it clear that there are NO inherent contradictions or correlations between the types or between the FAUN system and other typology systems. you can come up with your own possible correlations through deduction but they are not rule and please DO NOT shove them down anybodys throat! those are your opinions, not everybody shares them. as the creator of this system i guarantee you i certainly wont. if you have any questions you can ask them by tapping my profile and clicking the button below my bio.
i have come up with this system on my own and you can check out my carrd to see the ONLY platforms i am on. if you see me anywhere not mentioned on my carrd please know they are an impersonator.
i hope you enjoy this system despite its flaws and my grammar / spelling mistakes, i wrote this in a hurry because i wanted to get the system out there as fast as possible.
i will also be working on sonas for each of the 12 chords, so stay tuned for that! i procrastinate a lot so dont expect too much, it might genuinely take months.
GOODBYE LOVES ♡
