This is what I picture when I think about Books & Brews. My buddy Brad playing bare foot in a concrete warehouse with a chest freezer full of hops and Home Depot buckets full of grain stacked up behind him. Brad, a professional musician who spent countless volunteer hours helping me stain furniture, host open mic, and establish B&B as what it is today while never once asking for anything in return (except a stage, I was so sick of hearing about a stupid stage, enough with the stage!). My goal is to try to capture the raw entrepreneurship this photo epitomizes in every store we open: anyone with money can open a catalog and buy a bunch of fancy things to make a restaurant look nice, but it’s much more difficult to clone the spirit and passion for a true mission that starts from (literally) the bare concrete floor and works its way up. Our mission today and always: to create a place for people without a place; where all are accepted, appreciated, and encouraged to be themselves. Much love to Brad and all our original crew for believing in and sticking with B&B when we weren’t much more than an idea inside our collective heads. And much love to everyone that got what we were going for whether you found us on day one or yesterday.. . . . #mugclub4lyfe #booksnbrews #booksandbrews #nanobrew #nanobrewery #throwback #livemusic #music #entrepreneur #entrepreneurlife #entrepreneurlife #entreprenuers #entrepreneurlifestyle #mondaymotivation #monday #indy #indianapolis #fishers #fishersindiana #naptown #indymusic #indianapoismusic #indianapolisopenmic (at Books & Brews)
