it's your birthday today.

there's a lot of things i wished for when you were still alive and even you have passed but i know those have no chance of ever coming true.

bright hopes of our future have dimmed.

nanay, i miss you. i'm going to graduate now. i have an award. i know you would've been proud.

i'm sorry for the times i was a brat. i wish i could say i'm better now but i still have my moments. thank you for taking care of me and showering me with your unconditional love without asking anything in return. i was blessed to be your granddaughter. to call you my nanay.

you would've loved the new house. granted, there are still things that needs furnishing but i know a proper roof and big room would've make you happy because it's an assurance to you that me and my brother are fine.

i wish i had taken so much pictures of us. for every moment we were together, i should've snapped a pic so i have something to look at. i could memorize every smile lines that blanketed your face because you have the most adorable smile.

there's a lot of shows i wanna watch with you.

places i want to take you.

food i want you to eat with me.

i know one day my memory will fail me and that i will i forget you, but know that the intrinsic love you have showered me throughout my life is a building block of who i am and what i know of love.

because that you are to me: love.

and i thank the Lord, for allowing me to be your granddaughter.

Ang dami ng nagbago, ang dami ng hindi nakasanayan. Kamusta ka na mula ng nawala ang Nanay?

Marahil sa bawat oras at araw na dumadaan sana hindi na lang, sana hindi muna nawala ang Nanay. Sana nahintay man lamang niya na makapagtapos si John sa Kolehiyo bago siya kinuha sa akin, sa amin ng Panginoon.
