One word: Nanami.
I'm going to crack open Ao3 after that episode because it came for my feels in so many ways. The contrast between a severely injured Nanami fighting the cursed spirits/transfigured humans and the beach was so freaking beautiful. The piano music was very nice too. I think Nanami knew it was over for him. His injuries were grievous and the team is no where near close to saving Shibuya because of Kenjaku and Mahito (and Sukuna because bro woke up).
But during his final moments, Nanami seems so at peace and just lets go of everything. He knew Mahito wasn't going to let him leave. He knew how badly injured he was. Yet Nanami found peace.
And it was so heartbreaking to watch, but at the same time, there is something to be said about Nanami's calmness towards the situation. It kinda reminds me of Rogue One. The heroes know they won't make it, but knowing their sacrifice wasn't in vain gave them that inner sense of peace.
Nanami is without a doubt one of my favorite characters in Jujutsu Kaisen (not just because he's hot). He is very well-written and he's a character that will stick with me for a long time.
