Aquaria Nautica Neptunia is the half-human mutant Queen of Atlantis, the Avenging Daughter, who took the name Namora the Sub-Mariner (to honor her family companion, Namor); her Atlantean heritage grants her physical power suited to survive even the harshest aquatic depths, while her x-gene grants her the power of flight, via wings on her feet; a villainous attack once left her in suspended animation for years, but at her best, she's proven a fearsome warrior in defense of Atlantis & aided heroes like the Avengers, and (most commonly) the Agents of Atlas!

So, I'm just noticing this:

Incredible Hercules #124 from December 2008 establishes that Namora is attracted to her cousin, Namor.

Six months later, in Agents of Atlas Vol.2, #6, it's very quickly established that Namora's father was adopted into the Royal Family and they're absolutely not blood related no way whatsoever-

And quickly follows it up in #7 by torpedoing the relationship by revealing it to be the end-point of an Atlantean Eugenics program and thus they cannot trust how much of their feelings for each other have been the result of the program's manipulations.
