What if everything you say was just a blog post within 140 to 160 characters, at least no more than 300 words? I know, that would be Twitter or Facebook. If what you had to say were a simple image, wait, that would be Instagram or Pinterest. If what you had to say was only marketing and sales, wait, that could be Etsy or the corporate landing page.
So many places to say what you mean, mean to say something to say anything at all at any given moment. But the click, just the simple click. No need for conversation, just click. The endearing terms of "like" and "love," "friend" or "follower" have forever been changed in this century.
Magnanimous amounts of data to consume in every form. Do we know real beauty when we see that articulate image, or the designer's latest seasonal piece on the dazzling model? Can we really appreciate true prose from modern day writers if its not in digital format to be shuffled between electronic devices? Does the sound of a happy baby make life any less perfect if its not shared on YouTube to Facebook to Twitter to the blog to Pinterest etc.?
The ways in which we are connected these days spans the world of electronics in some form or derivative of man-made communication. We are connected and yet so disjointed. Sometimes, just the sound of the wind is a peaceful reminder we are not ones and zeros, rather we are blood, water and synapse signals.
