I love going to music educators conferences. They really help reinvigorate my drive to teach and help students and the community.
#nmea#nafme#they had really good sessions this year#this is probably one of the best ive gone to#other than my last session was bad#it was out of date and i wanted resources#i know about universal design for learn#i needed resources for students who have more severe handicaps#such as working and reaching out to a special needs unit#my high school had an area for student who had several intellectual and physical handicaps and i wanted to hear experiences and ideas#of how to help and make music enjoyable for those students#but they gave us virtually no resources#and as someone who is disabled I was annoyed#i was just a bit annoyed#however! i learned i can do research outside of a college!#i can still include that aspect into my life while teaching!#yay teaching!#i think im going to join asta too#the American string teachers association#if i end up at a small school i want to create an orchestra program#and plenty of other options for students#like i got ideas#music is supposed to be fun#im actually not as fearful about teaching band#i can make it as i want to be#guys gals and nonbinary pals can you tell that im excited to graduate?
