Not long ago I finished rewriting chapter 4. Today I dove right into chapter 5. When I heard that this book had a connection with Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, I knew I just had to read it. The main character, Ari, is an 19 year old stunt woman in training. As luck (or fate) has it a film is being shot on her beautiful island of Corfu and she has her first professional job working opposite a hunky 21 year old Hollywood film star, Wes Spencer. The film is a modern day remake of Pride and Prejudice featuring Wes as Darcy, his real life best friend Ollie as Bingley and his ex girlfriend Elle as Elizabeth Bennett. Ari makes quite the first impression on Wes and despite the rocky start romance blossoms, for a while at least. I just loved reading about Ari and Wes, their characters were so believable and well written, I felt like I was watching them in a film (was going to Google Wes but remembered that he's not real 😂). I couldn't stop reading the 2nd half of the book as I just wanted to know what would happen next.
